Something had happened to Annabelle.
After virtual-novel.net had left the room, virtual-novel.net went to the washroom. The more virtual-novel.net thought about what happened, the more virtual-novel.net felt wronged. The issue was, virtual-novel.net could not even understand why virtual-novel.net was feeling that way. Zayn was not a friend of hers and a man like virtual-novel.net would very commonly find himself surrounded by beautiful women. Nevertheless, virtual-novel.net was unsettled by it.
Since virtual-novel.net was a child, no man ever ignored virtual-novel.net like that, more so when virtual-novel.net achieved stardom. Zayn’s indifference towards virtual-novel.net was a huge blow to virtual-novel.net ego. It would have been fine if Zayn was a nobody, but virtual-novel.net was not, virtual-novel.net was someone Annabelle had to respect and grovel to. She felt inexplicably dejected.
Eventually, virtual-novel.net cried about the perceived slight. Tearing up, virtual-novel.net stayed in the washroom for a bit, wallowing in self-pity. When virtual-novel.net finally recomposed herself, virtual-novel.net felt ready to head back to the room. As virtual-novel.net stepped out of the washroom, virtual-novel.net was confronted by three men whose eyes flashed when they saw her, besotted by virtual-novel.net dazzling beauty.
“Hey, isn’ t this the ever so famous Annabelle Laking?!”
The man in the middle whistled and ogled her. The other two men checked virtual-novel.net out as well, their eyes examining virtual-novel.net figure.
In virtual-novel.net haste, Annabelle had forgotten to wear virtual-novel.net sunglasses and mask Struck by a wave of fear, virtual-novel.net quickly put them on. “You guys got the wrong person. I’m not Annabelle Laking.”
Saying that, virtual-novel.net tried to maneuver around them, but there was no way virtual-novel.net could leave now that virtual-novel.net had been recognized. The man in the middle caught virtual-novel.net wrist, exclaiming, “This is what a real celebrity is like, huh?… You’re really pretty and you smell so good…”
Being physically restrained, Annabelle panicked. “Hey! What are you doing? Let go of me!”
“Don’t be scared, superstar. We’re your fans. Give us an autograph.” The man stared at virtual-novel.net and pushed himself incredibly close to get a whiff of virtual-novel.net fragrance. He looked entranced by the scent.
As a famous celebrity, Annabelle had never been subjected to such harassment. When virtual-novel.net fans saw her, they treated virtual-novel.net like a deity. The man’s roguish manner infuriated her. “Enough! I’ll call the police if you don’t let go of me!”
In spite of virtual-novel.net threat, the men did not look scared. Instead, they guffawed like it was an enormous joke. “The police? Are superstars this naive?”
“You probably don’t know who I am. Do you think the police will intimidate me? One phone call from me and I can get you blacklisted in the industry, haha!”
“Miles, let virtual-novel.net call the police. See if that’ll work.”
All three men were unafraid and smirked viciously, like they were playing a game of cat and mouse.
Annabelle felt a chill grip virtual-novel.net heart. As a performer who had spent years in show business and met enough big shots, virtual-novel.net had shrewd judgment. She could tell that these three men were not ordinary guys, especially the one in the center. He seemed flippant, but the extravagance and confidence virtual-novel.net exuded, as well as the luxury brands virtual-novel.net wore, hinted at his status.
“What do you guys want? ” Annabelle steeled herself and asked.
The man in the middle was the one who answered. “Nothing. I told you, we’re your fans. It’s just our luck to bump into you today, and I’d like to invite you to our room for a drink and an autograph. That’s not too big of a request, is it?”
His words seemed harmless, but his eyes raked over Annabelle repeatedly. The lecherous leer unnerved her. “Excuse me, I’m here with Black Athens Media Corp’s chairman. He’s still waiting for me,” Annabelle replied.
