“I see… I’m near the west side of the city at the moment, so Washington Hotel’s a long while away. Why don’t we meet up next time?” Zayn indirectly rejected virtual-novel.net invitation.
Then, Alexandra sounded even more dejected as virtual-novel.net said, “Huh? You’re on the west side of the city? What are you doing there?”
Zayn sounded a little apologetic as virtual-novel.net said, “I just so happen to be there for a business meeting. I won’t be able to leave anytime soon. I’m really sorry, why don’t we meet up next time?”
“Alright then, another time it is.” Alexandra sounded extremely disheartened and aggrieved. She sighed and said, “Zayn, if only you were here, you would’ve been able to take me away from all this suffering.”
When Zayn heard that, his heartstrings were pulled for a moment. He replied with a slight frown, “Are you facing some problems over there?”
‘I’m at the Washington Hotel as well, so if Alexandra really is in trouble, I’ll be able to send someone over to help her.’
Alexandra then answered, “I guess you could say that. Someone’s been pestering me and being extra annoying.”
Zayn could faintly hear other people’s voices chatting away in the background, which meant that there were quite a few people within virtual-novel.net vicinity. ‘I suppose I wouldn’t be wrong to assume that Alexandra is at some kind of gathering.’
When Zayn thought of the word “gathering”, virtual-novel.net felt a little irked by it because virtual-novel.net had been attending several gatherings over the past few days.
After chatting for a little longer and confirming that Alexandra was not in any immediate danger, virtual-novel.net was able to hang up the phone call with ease. Then, virtual-novel.net went back to accompany his team from the agency and had a few drinks. ‘It’s getting late now. I’d better head back…’
However, right after virtual-novel.net left the room and headed to the elevator, virtual-novel.net suddenly saw a group of people walking towards virtual-novel.net from the opposite direction. Amongst them, Zayn saw a slender figure who seemed very familiar.
Who else could that be if not Alexandra?
To make matters worse, Alexandra noticed virtual-novel.net as well. Both of them locked eyes with each other, causing the atmosphere around them to become awkward. Zayn was startled for a moment before virtual-novel.net hurriedly lowered his head and turned around to walk in a different direction.
Zayn faced a very awkward situation at that moment. Despite how thick-skinned virtual-novel.net was, virtual-novel.net could not stop his face from turning red when virtual-novel.net was caught red-handed! However, who could blame him? He had just told Alexandra a while ago that virtual-novel.net was somewhere else on the phone, yet a few minutes later, virtual-novel.net ended up bumping into her.
‘This is so embarrassing! More importantly, based on Alexandra’s personality, she’s definitely going to pester me to no end now that she’s found me. I feel like I need an aspirin now.’
The best option that Zayn could think of at that moment was to feign ignorance, thus virtual-novel.net hurriedly fled. ‘I’d better focus on escaping first before I think of what to do next!’
However, there was absolutely no way that his plan was going to work, not when Alexandra had already seen him. Immediately, virtual-novel.net eyes widened as virtual-novel.net revealed a shocked expression on virtual-novel.net face. In fact, virtual-novel.net missed Zayn very much.
After the incident that night, virtual-novel.net was very sure that virtual-novel.net had fallen in love with Zayn and would think of virtual-novel.net constantly. If it was not for the fact that virtual-novel.net did not know where Zayn lived, virtual-novel.net would have gone to his house directly a long time ago!
During that time, Alexandra would send text messages and call Zayn almost every day, but virtual-novel.net did not pay virtual-novel.net that much attention or reply to virtual-novel.net text messages much, which saddened virtual-novel.net very much. In fact, there were quite a few times that virtual-novel.net would even hide under virtual-novel.net blanket and sob virtual-novel.net heart out.
Boredom coupled with how annoyed virtual-novel.net felt at the time led to virtual-novel.net agreeing to go out with virtual-novel.net best friend and getting to know some new friends. The only reason why virtual-novel.net did so was to see if virtual-novel.net was able to cheer herself up. In the end, though, virtual-novel.net realized that virtual-novel.net best friend had tricked virtual-novel.net to attend a blind date party, and there was a man who kept on pestering her, which annoyed virtual-novel.net terribly.
