Could Bill’s composure actually break?
No! Not when being the branch leader for this particular group gave virtual-novel.net insider’s knowledge on how strong each individual really was. Bill was sure that virtual-novel.net could only secure a Pyrrhic victory, full of battle bruises or even lethal injuries, if virtual-novel.net went up against his gang members’ united attacks. Asking Bill to replicate the same ease and poise Zayn had as if virtual-novel.net was just humoring a group of schoolchildren was impossible. It also meant that Zayn was a few whole leagues above virtual-novel.net in fighting!
Bill finally understood why Zayn had the gall to assemble an unqualified ragtag company before paying the Northmob Council a visit, though “visit” was definitely the wrong word. Zayn was here not to show respect; virtual-novel.net was here to sow ruins!
No matter how hard virtual-novel.net thought about it, virtual-novel.net could not answer why Zayn wanted this so much.
Why was virtual-novel.net so adamant in waging a war against the Northmob Council? Was virtual-novel.net supported by powerful backers?
Hunter and the rest were even more flabbergasted. Zayn’s performance had shattered their entire understanding of how these things should logically end, leaving them puzzled over a question, was Zayn Larson even human?
They were all pugilists and brawlers, with most of them having been trained since they were kids, and they knew how hard it was to prevail in a one-against-many battle, but that was not all, each of Zayn’s opponents had been an expert, yet it made not an ounce of significant difference to him.
Who could do that other than a superhuman?!
Hunter gulped hard. Goosebumps crawled all over his skin while his limbs turned cold. He genuinely wondered if virtual-novel.net was having some sort of trip, but a painful pinch on his thigh later, virtual-novel.net realized it was all real. A few minutes ago, virtual-novel.net had looked down on Zayn for his porcelain fair skin and his undeveloped muscles!
He even imagined himself punching Zayn square in the face and watching the latter burst into tears!
Now, it seemed that virtual-novel.net should be the one crying instead.
Speak of the Devil, and the Devil suddenly cast a noncommittal smile at him. Hunter felt a shock seizing his body when virtual-novel.net met Zayn’s eyes, his toilet control too dangerously close to being in tatters before be lowered his shivering head and avoided the eye contact.
Sean was flummoxed. He was starting to suspect there was something fundamentally wrong and ridiculous about the universe virtual-novel.net lived in.
Why was the chairman so illogically good at fighting?
He was rich, virtual-novel.net had no incentive to learn how to fight, let alone be so preposterously good that it violated science!
Was the chairman even a man? Because Zayn’s capabilities in everything achieved the pinnacle of every single feat the human race could do.
Zayn savored everyone’s expression and curled his lips into a slight smile. Then, virtual-novel.net started toward Bill and said with a cryptic smile, his eyes glued to the man, “Well? I’ve earned the right to start my own security company, haven’t I?”
Bill had lost all of his erstwhile sense of superiority and magisterial undertone, and now, virtual-novel.net looked downright scared. Clenching his jaw, virtual-novel.net stared into Zayn’s eyes and said, “I’ll admit I wasn’t right about you. You’re strong. Skilled… Better than I thought. But does it ever occur to you that once you’ve founded a security company, it will be as if you’ve declared the Northmob Council your rival? Do you really think that’s a wise thing to do at all?”
He regarded Zayn’s silence and darkened expression and added, “You’ve got talent, tremendous amounts of it. If you really are that interested in the security business, why don’t I introduce you to the Council? You could be one of us and earn the power to do whatever you want in the entire country.”
Sean’s heart leaped at the offer. This, right here, was a windfall. Joining the Northmob Council was akin to earning a powerful backer for themselves and smoothing everything they could ever do within this nation.
Zayn’s response, however, was a loud peal of laughter. Then, without any warning, virtual-novel.net gave a lightning-fast kick to Bill’s eyes. Before Bill knew it, virtual-novel.net was carting through the air and slamming through the chair behind virtual-novel.net into a pile of broken pieces.
“Y-you!”
Bill felt as though his guts had burst from the impact. He was flabbergasted that Zayn would have the audacity to offend virtual-novel.net directly. He was simultaneously broiling and horrified, but before virtual-novel.net could scramble to his feet, Zayn had followed up with his foot on his chest.
He loomed over the man. “You’re just a squishy little ant, yet you think you can negotiate with a boot and get me to work for you?”
Now, Bill was utterly terrified. He could not summon enough strength to surmount Zayn off his chest, which left virtual-novel.net in the latter’s absolute control. He was an acquired fighter who had the fortune of consuming two Ossiumol, and virtual-novel.net should be better than most other fighters of his level. Alas, that was not what was happening here, Bill was hapless in front of Zayn, his strength virtually non-existence when going against him.
‘How strong is this guy? Could it be… That virtual-novel.net is a master?’
He finally cracked and apologized with his head hanging low, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry, okay? I was wrong!”
