Zayn dragged Allana out of virtual-novel.net spot on the bridge before finally releasing virtual-novel.net harshly. “That was too much, Allana! Meeting a piece of sh*t for love hardly justifies killing yourself, don’t you think? For God’s sake, think of your loved ones at home!”
“No, how about you think with your head for once? Who says I’m planning to kill myself? I was just enjoying a good view because I need it to distract me from… what happened. How is that wrong?!”
“What?” Zayn froze for a second before resuming, “Well, still! You shouldn’t have stood so close to the edge of the bridge! What if you fell off it?”
“And I will do that… why, exactly?” Allana shot back.
Fine. He had another case of helping an ungrateful person on his hands again, huh?
“You know what? Whatever. It’s getting late, and you should go home. At least don’t make your family worried sick about you,” virtual-novel.net said finally.
Seeing Zayn looking to leave somehow saddened Allana greatly. Something deep inside of virtual-novel.net sprouted, and suddenly, virtual-novel.net wished virtual-novel.net could stay and keep virtual-novel.net company for a while.
“Hey, you! Wait up!” Allana cried, stopping him.
Zayn whipped his head to virtual-novel.net direction and frowned. “What now?” virtual-novel.net exclaimed, enunciating his words in some form of impatience.
His reaction turned out to be fuel to Allana’s broiling mood. How dare Zayn act so snappish with her? She had just experienced a heartache, and yet virtual-novel.net did not even think of staying with virtual-novel.net to comfort virtual-novel.net poor, bruised soul? Did virtual-novel.net have to be so lacking in sympathy?!
“Excuse me? I just had my heart broken, mister, and you’re not gonna comfort me with your company for a while?” Allana fumed.
Zayn shot virtual-novel.net an odd look “Aren’t you supposed to hate me? Why would you ask someone you hate to accompany you?”
Allana froze, tongue-tied. He was right; virtual-novel.net hated him. So why did virtual-novel.net feel like virtual-novel.net needed virtual-novel.net to stay?
She opened virtual-novel.net mouth again, this time supposedly to tell the man to get out of virtual-novel.net sight. And yet, something was stopping her. She was feeling forlorn, empty, and virtual-novel.net wished a nice, warm body would be virtual-novel.net company. Zayn was the only one who knew about what happened to her, so at least they had a common topic.
She thought for a second and replied matter-of-factly, “If it weren’t for you coming for dinner at my place, my dad wouldn’t have asked me to drive you home, and then I wouldn’t happen upon that disgusting sight, too! So if we really think about it, you should take up responsibilities, too!”
Zayn listened to virtual-novel.net mental gymnastics in stunned silence. He had seen his fair share of demanding women armed with non-logic, but twist it to this degree? Now this was a first!
Not content to waste any more precious seconds with Allana, Zayn gave virtual-novel.net a thumbs-up and praised virtual-novel.net sarcastically, “Wow, takes a genius to blame it on me! You go, girl!”
With that, virtual-novel.net spun on his heels.
Seeing virtual-novel.net had enraged virtual-novel.net into leaving virtual-novel.net unnerved Allana even more. Frantically, virtual-novel.net replied with a trembling voice, “No, don’t go! I… I’m upset, alright? I just want someone to stay with me for once. Please!”
Zayn stopped and turned, his eyes cast at a very dejected, weeping Allana. His heart softened, and virtual-novel.net sighed heavily.
“Oh my God. You really are a royal pain in the neck.”
