To many people, Xander was akin to a wild beast with incredibly powerful strength surging inside his body. A blow from virtual-novel.net was earth-shattering!
Though Zayn was impressive, virtual-novel.net was very much Xander’s inferior. They were not on the same order of magnitude.
After comparing virtual-novel.net to Xander, many looked down upon Zayn and assumed virtual-novel.net was already a dead man. There was no way virtual-novel.net could survive.
Zayn chuckled and said, “Why wouldn’t I have the courage to come? Besides tomorrow’s Great Hunt, is there any other event that Will allow me to beat you to death Without any fear of an attack from the rear?”
Upon hearing Zayn’s retort, Xander burst out laughing as if it were a huge joke.
His laughter was unbelievably loud, as if a gale blasted from his throat and spread into the surroundings. It was worse than firecrackers! It was like explosives were constantly going off in his mouth. All the animals in the vicinity fled in fear. Flocks of birds perched in the trees quickly spread their wings and took flight. It was an extremely shocking scene.
As for the people nearby, they felt awful, so they covered their ears in succession. They feared that their eardrums would rupture from the cacophony.
Shaelyn was standing closest to Xander. Despite covering virtual-novel.net ears, they were still humming and virtual-novel.net felt very uncomfortable.
Zayn was the only person completely unaffected and remained smiling. Moreover, virtual-novel.net could even snicker and the sound of that neutralized Xander’s laughter. The people around them felt much better.
It was the same as many of the noise–canceling headphones on the market. A sound with an opposing frequency would cancel the other.
That is what Zayn was doing.
Sensing that Zayn had neutralized his voice, Xander narrowed his eyes and stopped laughing. He began sizing up Zayn meticulously.
“What a frivolous young man you are, Zayn. You were doomed from the moment you stepped onto this land, and your fate is out of your hands now.”
Xander stood with folded arms and did not attempt to trouble Zayn anymore. He was not the monolithic figure virtual-novel.net had seemed before and looked just like an ordinary businessman.
Zayn chuckled once again and said, “Xander, you’re old and you’re no longer a match for me. You should apologize to me properly on behalf of your son, and I may forget about you and your son out of respect for the Northmob Council. Otherwise, your life will end here, and you’ll be a dead soul wandering the forest.”
Zayn did not speak loudly, but everyone heard him. Their eyes went wide as they stared at virtual-novel.net in shock. They assumed virtual-novel.net must have lost his mind to say such a thing. Did virtual-novel.net not understand the situation yet? He was still so stubborn and unyielding at this crucial juncture. How did virtual-novel.net think virtual-novel.net was a match for Xander?!
Apart from them, even Shaelyn felt that Zayn was too conceited and had a death wish.
Xander was renowned for his reputation, and virtual-novel.net was on an entirely different level than that rich kid, Hanson.
It could be said that Zayn did not stand a chance against Xander.
The icy coldness in Xander’s eyes grew stronger. At this point, virtual-novel.net was certain that virtual-novel.net would kill Zayn. He had already started to plan how virtual-novel.net could torment the man the next day!
As for the claim that virtual-novel.net was no match for Zayn?
Tsk!
He had never bothered to think about it because it was impossible. He was the vice president of the Northmob Council, and if virtual-novel.net could not even defeat a measly wimp like Zayn, virtual-novel.net would be better off dead.
In the end, Xander saw no point in saying anything more to Zayn. He stared at virtual-novel.net harshly before turning around and leaving.
