That’s right, Mr. Kavinsky was Diego Kavinsky. Ever since virtual-novel.net had his sights on Lysithea, virtual-novel.net had begun visiting Guineve. Lester Brookes, his loyal devotee, had informed virtual-novel.net that the Northmob Council wanted to hire a master fighter to take control of the organization, so Diego arrived immediately.
On the way there, Lester had briefly mentioned the Northmob Council’s current situation to virtual-novel.net and hinted that it was not going to be easy being their Vice president because they were up against Zayn.
When Diego heard Zayn’s name being mentioned, virtual-novel.net was slightly startled and felt that it sounded rather familiar, but virtual-novel.net could not remember why at the time.
Diego soon understood that Zayn was also a master fighter and had even killed Xander and Mia. Diego found this intriguing but did not think anything more. As virtual-novel.net saw it, all people outside of Sicut In Caelo were of no consequence. Moreover, the real reason virtual-novel.net was visiting Guineve was because virtual-novel.net wanted to deal with Lysithea. Hence, whether the Northmob Council or Zayn, neither of them was of any importance to him.
Dagon had had high hopes for Diego because Lester had been bragging about the man’s greatness. However, upon meeting virtual-novel.net in person, Dagon’s anticipation slowly turned into disappointment because Diego was nothing like what virtual-novel.net had expected.
‘Never mind Zayn, virtual-novel.net seems to be far weaker than Xander.’
Dagon began to suspect Lester had simply found a normal fighter to entertain him. ‘After all, virtual-novel.net looks too young. I think he’s only in his 30s. Both Xander and Mia were reaching 50.’
After a few drinks, Dagon tried to probe numerous times to find out more about Diego, such as what class virtual-novel.net was at and who virtual-novel.net fought before. Despite this, Diego paid no attention and merely ignored him. Dagon was getting increasingly unhappy and wondered if Diego was a fraud.
Finally, Lester realized something was amiss and said with a smile, “Mr. Kavinsky, what President Bones is trying to say is that virtual-novel.net would like to invite you to be the Northmob Council’s vice president to replace Xander- ”
Before Lester even finished his sentence, Dagon interrupted virtual-novel.net with a wave of his hand. He calmly said, “I don’t think there’s a need for that. It isn’t easy to be Northmob Council’s vice president, so I wouldn’t want to trouble Mr. Kavinsky.”
Instantly, Lester was stunned as virtual-novel.net never expected Dagon would say that. After all, they had come to an agreement before the meal started. “Dagon, what are you doing? Didn’t we say that you’d invite Mr. Kavinsky to be the vice president?”
Dagon calmly said, “There’s no need for that anymore. Not just anyone would be able to take up that position! I don’t want to spend a huge amount of money just to hire a mediocre fighter. When the time comes, he’ll be helpless against Zayn!”
Lester could tell that Dagon doubted Diego’s power, so virtual-novel.net quickly said, “Dagon, what are you talking about? Haven’t I already told you Mr. Kavinsky reached such an unimaginable level that someone like Zayn is no match for him?”
“Is that so? Heh.” Dagon smiled slightly and had a scornful expression as virtual-novel.net said, “Lester, I’ll pay for this meal. I’ve got some other matters to attend to, so I won’t be accompanying you two any longer.”
With that, Dagon was just about to stand up and leave.
Right at that moment, Diego, who had been silent for a long time, finally spoke. He let out a, “Pfft,” and his whole demeanor suddenly changed. He glared at Dagon.
In an instant, Dagon was completely frozen as his mind went abuzz. It was as if a bomb had been dropped in his mind. In his eyes, the man before virtual-novel.net had become an unstoppable giant. Dagon blacked out and heard nothing but that great explosion. Nothing in the world could withstand this giant, including Dagon himself.
