The state legislator was only in his sixties now, but his hair was white with wrinkles lining his face. He looked more like an old man in his seventies. Even when virtual-novel.net was aged, what virtual-novel.net said was still deafeningly mind blowing. Such a voice of justice resonated in the land. Zayn was dumbstruck.
Then, the elder did something that flabbergasted Zayn. He put his hands in front of himself and bowed deeply at Zayn, saying, “Mr. Larson, on behalf of the people hurting, I thank you tonight. Thank you for your donation of 2 billion and 824 million dollars!”
Alarmed, Zayn quickly stood up and supported the state legislator. “No, that can’t be done, sir. You’re regarding me too highly!”
The elder chuckled. “Mr. Larson, it’s the fortune of Guineve’s people to have an exemplary young man like you.”
Embarrassed by the compliment, Zayn scratched his head. “Sir, to be honest, I didn’t make the donation entirely for the charity. I came for the charity ambassador title. After all, I have killed a few people before this.”
Zayn was anxious when virtual-novel.net confessed, unable to gauge what the state legislator’s reaction would be. After all, murder was a heinous crime no matter which country and what period of time one was in.
It seemed that the elder had seen through Zayn’s thoughts as virtual-novel.net chuckled and did not follow the topic. Instead, virtual-novel.net switched to something else. “Here, Mr. Larson, have a taste of my wine. I planted the grapes on my own, and there isn’t much harvest annually.”
Zayn heaved a sigh of relief. This meant that the state legislator was not putting those lives under his name. Although virtual-novel.net was much more skilled now, it was a no-go to fight the authorities.
After that, Zayn chatted with the elder as they savored the wine. The latter was more than twice Zayn’s age, but they got along very well in their conversation. They went on until the evening during which the elder and his wife kept Zayn for dinner warmly. Feeling bad if virtual-novel.net refused, Zayn stayed to have the meal.
When virtual-novel.net ultimately left the state legislator’s house, Zayn still found the whole experience astounding. To him, it was out of the blue that virtual-novel.net had gotten to know the state legislator now.
Before virtual-novel.net left, the elder briefly mentioned Insurgent Trifecta and told Zayn implicitly that it was dangerous and that virtual-novel.net should decide with caution.
Zayn understood what the legislator was hinting at. In fact, virtual-novel.net knew that it indirectly meant that Insurgent Trifecta was dangerous and that they could not have found more people when they came to him. After all, ordinary people could hardly qualify for an important organization like this without sufficient experience. One’s background was of the utmost crucial as everyone in there was honest and clean. As for Zayn, virtual-novel.net was nothing like that.
In spite of it, the riskier things were, the more benefits there were to reap. Once virtual-novel.net joined Insurgent Trifecta and had a title, Zayn’s status was going to be more honorable.
Zayn went back home directly after virtual-novel.net left the state legislator’s place.
Two days passed by in the blink of an eye. During these two days, Zayn’s name was sung around once more. Based on the fact that virtual-novel.net donated so much money and was titled the charity ambassador, in addition to being invited over by the state legislator, virtual-novel.net was the envy of everyone.
As for Dagon, virtual-novel.net was hysterical. 1.34 billion dollars had just gone down the drain! Despite the fact that virtual-novel.net was rich, virtual-novel.net felt dissatisfied. Furthermore, virtual-novel.net was captured by the state legislator in the end and made a fool out of himself. He thought that virtual-novel.net was a big joke even now, and all this was Zayn Larson’s fault!
The moment virtual-novel.net thought about it, virtual-novel.net was wrathful.
“Mr. Kavinsky, can you get rid of Zayn Larson?” Dagon’s eyes were bloodshot as virtual-novel.net stared at Diego.
Diego rolled two steel balls in his right hand as virtual-novel.net sat on the couch. Suddenly, with the exertion of his strength, cracks were heard as the two steel-cast balls were crushed into a pile of dust. He looked at Dagon with a smirk. “What do you think?”
Dagon shuddered before his eyes glowed and virtual-novel.net bowed deeply at Diego. “Thank you, Mr. Kavinsky!”
