This man was undeniably high-level personnel from Insurgent Trifecta, just as Zayn had suspected. Danny and Nicole immediately expressed their respect upon seeing him. They saluted virtual-novel.net with a solemn expression. “Chief Sutherland!”
The middle-aged man nodded towards them and made his way to Zayn. He exclaimed emotionally, “Mr. Larson, you look significantly younger in your photos. Had I not personally looked into you, I wouldn’t have believed that you weren’t in your thirties yet.”
When the person approached him, Zayn could clearly tell that the man’s right leg was obviously shorter than the other. Even though the man tried to conceal well, Zayn could still tell the difference. Zayn had also noticed that one of the man’s eyes was a glass eye because of the way it did not move.
Zayn could sense an unyielding, renegade-like presence radiating off of him. There was a malevolence to him. With a single glance, one could tell that virtual-novel.net had the blood of many on his hands. However, the malevolence of his aura was unlike the typical, diabolically violent man. Zayn could instinctively tell that the man had killed a good number of tyrants, virtual-novel.net did it without shame, in fact, virtual-novel.net was even proud of it.
Zayn realized that the man was worthy of his respect, so virtual-novel.net greeted politely, “Hello, Chief Sutherland.”
It was very apparent that if the man standing before Zayn was not the director of Insurgent Trifecta, virtual-novel.net was the deputy director at the very least.
Frankly, Zayn was very surprised that the person had gone out of his way to meet him, even if virtual-novel.net was the deputy director. It signified that Insurgent Trifecta valued virtual-novel.net greatly. Though, it also signified that Insurgent Trifecta was in need of talented personnel like him.
Chief Sutherland smiled and sized up Zayn first. Then, his expression turned serious all of a sudden. He saluted Zayn and said in a deep voice, “I’m the deputy director of Insurgent Trifecta, Liam Sutherland. I would like to sincerely extend my invitation for you to join Insurgent Trifecta, Mr. Larson!”
At the same time, Nicole and Danny saluted Zayn simultaneously with extremely serious and solemn expressions on their faces. In fact, they were even pleading with their eyes as they spoke aloud, “I’m Nicole Simmons, 2nd in command from the fourth division of Insurgent Trifecta and I would like to sincerely extend my invitation for you to join Insurgent Trifecta, Mr. Larson!”
“I’m Danny Stone from the fourth division of Insurgent Trifecta and I would like to sincerely extend my invitation for you to join Insurgent Trifecta, Mr. Larson!”
Their voices were so strong and resonant that it could reverberate through the sky and shock people’s hearts.
Zayn could not help being shocked by their response at this very moment despite his usual calmness. He was visibly moved and virtual-novel.net could feel his veins danced with the blood of a hero.
In reality, it was very hard for a person of his state to be emotionally affected. However, virtual-novel.net was not only affected now but virtual-novel.net was affected immensely.
He could completely feel that they did not feign this but they wanted virtual-novel.net to join Insurgent Trifecta sincerely.
Zayn could see the bitterness and sorrow in their eyes. It was very apparent that there were not many members in Insurgent Trifecta anymore.
Zayn did not wish to join the organization initially, especially now that virtual-novel.net was crowned the charity ambassador and virtual-novel.net also formed a relationship with the state legislator. His status in the country was already considered relatively aloof so joining Insurgent Trifecta would not bring virtual-novel.net much benefits. On the contrary, virtual-novel.net would be in much more danger.
Zayn should not join Insurgent Trifecta regardless if virtual-novel.net behaved with sense, yet, Zayn was not purely powered by his senses, virtual-novel.net was a man with blood, flesh, aspirations and sentiments.
Now that his country needed virtual-novel.net and virtual-novel.net had the capability, it was hard for virtual-novel.net to stand by and do nothing.
In the end, virtual-novel.net heaved a sigh in his heart and shook his head.
Liam and the other two people assumed that Zayn was rejecting them when they noticed Zayn’s reaction. Their eyes dimmed while Liam heaved a sigh heavily and said, “Different people have different aspirations. Since you’re not keen to join Insurgent Trifecta, Mr. Larson, we won’t force you to.”
His gaze was heavily tainted with dejection and bitterness.
Zayn let out a forced laugh and said, “You’ve misunderstood me, Chief Sutherland. I would like to join Insurgent Trifecta.”
“What?”
Instantly, Liam widened his eyes and looked at Zayn in excitement. Nicole and Danny were both pleasantly surprised as well. They felt as if they could see a sudden glimpse of hope in the dark mist of bewilderment.
Zayn rubbed his nose, let out a forced chuckle and said, “You’re overreacting. You made me feel like I’m some rare commodity.”
Liam burst out laughing aloud. He patted Zayn’s shoulder and said, “Hah-hah, Mr. Larson, our Insurgent Trifecta will certainly regain its prior glory with you joining us.”
Zayn felt even more shy from being praised like that. Even though virtual-novel.net was a rather powerful fighter now, virtual-novel.net was still far from being the best in such a huge organization like Insurgent Trifecta and virtual-novel.net knew himself well enough to know that.
Liam seemed to be very confident about him. He smiled and said, “Mr. Larson, I’m going to tell you something and it’s not an exaggeration. Perhaps, your understanding of yourself is not as good as ours when it comes to your fighting skills.”
