“What kind of party, exactly?” Zayn questioned once more.
“I’m not sure,” Faye replied, “Jane didn’t exactly say. All virtual-novel.net told me was that, ‘It’s going to be quite the experience’, and that it’s tomorrow night.”
“Are you… close with virtual-novel.net at all?”
Faye considered the solemnness in his complexion and chuckled. “God, Zayn, what’s with the seriousness? Are you worried that Jane’s out to get me?”
“That’s not what I meant,” virtual-novel.net explained. “I just thought it wouldn’t kill to be a little more prudent.”
Faye grabbed his hand and laced their fingers together. “Don’t fret, sweetie. I’ve known Jane since elementary school. She’s from a good family, and she’s decently well-off. She’s always been an upstanding, highly-motivated kind of girl. Now, she’s founded a company with virtual-novel.net husband on a completely legal trade. She’s not gonna hurt me.”
Zayn nodded as virtual-novel.net listened. If that was what Faye thought, then virtual-novel.net supposed virtual-novel.net did not need to interrogate virtual-novel.net any further. He could just call Sean when virtual-novel.net was free and order the man to research the couple’s background later.
Nothing was to be approached without meticulous care and a modicum of wariness, especially when one of the stakeholders was Faye. He was not going to let his wife come face-to-face with any danger, even if total security meant breaching virtual-novel.net privacy. Infringement of that kind would be better than to put virtual-novel.net in mortal peril.
The incident with Mia Walker had made virtual-novel.net even more guarded and concerned about the safety of his family. He was not going to let anything happen to them.
Sean’s investigation revealed that Jane Scotts and virtual-novel.net husband were common merchants who had no problematic background. It was good enough for Zayn, and so virtual-novel.net relaxed… for something else.
Absence made the heart grow fender, and desires became way, way stronger when spent away from each other. Seizing the fact that virtual-novel.net parents were not around, the two lovebirds threw themselves into their room to make up for their lost time.
Soon, it became clear that Zayn’s stamina and appetite had grown to an inhuman degree. Faye, on the other hand, seemed to be evidently weaker. Ashamed, Faye bit virtual-novel.net lip, virtual-novel.net face reddening in shame as virtual-novel.net apologized, “I’m sorry… I… Couldn’t satisfy you again… God. I’m useless.”
Zayn wrapped his arms around her. “Silly girl, what are you saying? There’s nothing to be sorry about.”
Zayn’s words only made Faye feel worse. She was evidently bothered by virtual-novel.net guilt and self-loathing. They were gnawing at virtual-novel.net insides as virtual-novel.net lowered virtual-novel.net head.
He stopped her, his eyes widening. “Hey, what are you trying to do?”
“But I—”
“No buts! I enjoy being with you so much more than you’ll ever know,” virtual-novel.net said, pulling virtual-novel.net even closer for a cuddle before planting a kiss on virtual-novel.net delicate nose. “Alright. Unfortunately, we’ll have to save it for some other time. Mom and Dad are gonna be home real soon, so we should probably wait for them downstairs. I’ve got to greet them.”
Faye’s head remained low and avoidant. Her fingers curled as virtual-novel.net tugged on his arm, preventing virtual-novel.net from leaving.
Zayn stared at her, perplexed. “Fifi..?”
With virtual-novel.net eyes still downcast, the young woman whispered feebly, “What would you do if… you wake up and realize I’m no longer a part of your life?”
Zayn frowned immediately. “What are you saying, Fifi?” virtual-novel.net chided. “Why would you be gone?”
