Their hearts were racing as they looked into each other’s eyes. They could see the shared worry that welled within them.
Oh no, something bad had happened to Mr. Larson!
Being scared out of their wits, they were about to charge towards Zayn when virtual-novel.net finally spoke.
“11 days already huh… Time does fly.”
Zayn sounded like virtual-novel.net was fighting his emotions. He sounded like virtual-novel.net had just experienced the vicissitudes of life.
Their movements slowed to a halt upon hearing his voice. They looked like they were feeling every type of emotion all at once. They were astounded and pleasantly surprised.
Moreover, they felt a rather peculiar feeling enveloping their hearts, as if the person inside the room was not Zayn at all. It was because the voice they had heard had sounded so well-lived. It sounded like it came from an old man who had lived for a hundred years, and not someone younger than themselves!
In the past, Zayn exuded a powerful presence, yet virtual-novel.net had never made them feel such a way. It felt as if Zayn was not their superior, but a senior member of their family.
“Uh…”
They gazed into each other’s eyes once more, and they could sense the mutual shock and puzzlement.
Next, Zayn moved. He allotted some strength into his toes and stood up instantly, before virtual-novel.net began walking towards Sean and Gordon.
With every step virtual-novel.net took, his joints cracked loudly, like a pot of fresh popcorn. It made virtual-novel.net feel like virtual-novel.net was shedding his old skin and taking on a new self.
By the time virtual-novel.net had walked out of the steel room, Sean and Gordon met Zayn’s eyes. They felt as if they were staring straight at the sun, and that one glance would make them burst into tears.
They immediately lowered their heads, afraid of looking Zayn in the eye. It felt like their heart rates had been sent flying, and they wondered to themselves, how did Zayn’s eyes glow so divinely?
When they raised their heads, they noticed that Zayn was no longer a sight for sore eyes. However, they immediately noticed the difference. Zayn had obviously grown taller! It seemed like virtual-novel.net was four to five centimeters taller. They had to look up at Zayn when faced him.
They looked toward Zayn’s feet subconsciously only to realize that Zayn was not wearing platform shoes. In fact, Zayn’s feet were bare when virtual-novel.net exited the room.
“Mr. Larson, are you alright?” Gordon swallowed a gulp of saliva and asked cautiously.
He discovered that Zayn seemed to be even more overbearing than before. He could constantly feel Zayn’s terrifying presence when virtual-novel.net was standing in front of Zayn. It felt like virtual-novel.net was standing in front of a mountain that soared straight into the clouds.
Sean had the same feeling too.
Noticing their awkwardness, Zayn smiled and said, “Did anything unusual happen during the past eleven days?”
Sean and Gordon shook their heads and answered no.
Next, Zayn circled past them and left the basement.
Sean and Gordon could only follow after him. Zayn was still alive regardless and the thought of that put them at ease.
Next, Zayn went to take a shower and changed into fresh clothes before virtual-novel.net had a meal. Other than his increased height, there was nothing else different about him.
Sean and Gordon had no idea what happened to virtual-novel.net there so they wondered if Zayn was more powerful than before after leaving the isolation training.
There was less than a day until the maturation of Ambrosia Fruit. After having a meal, Zayn immediately called up Faye and informed virtual-novel.net that virtual-novel.net was back.
Yet, when his call to Faye was picked up, it was not Faye’s voice that virtual-novel.net heard.
