The events that unfolded at the Turner’s home replayed in Rugal’s mind. It was the first time in his life that he was being punished by someone so severely. He was helpless, just like how he was right now.
The man had the absolute upper hand both in his status and power, so much so that even his uncle, who was ever-omnipotent in his perception, had to obey the man.
He became much more reserved after that incident. He was depressed for a long time and he had only returned to his normal self with great effort recently. As a result, he encountered this man once again. It was the man of his nightmare, the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp, Zayn Larson!
He would never forget how his mayor uncle went to his house personally to give him a ferocious slap after that day. His uncle warned him to stay out of Zayn’s sight even if he were to encounter Zayn and cautioned him not to offend Zayn regardless and to avoid even Zayn’s subordinates at all costs.
It was because Zayn’s identity was so prestigious that he could not afford to offend Zayn at all!
On the other hand, half a year had passed since the incident. He fled his way to the edge of Fenx City and he was a few tens of kilometers away from the Turners yet how did he encounter Zayn again?
Moreover, he managed to offend Zayn so severely again this time!
In an instant, his world crumbled. He was extremely horrified by Zayn’s icy cold gaze. He felt as if he had fallen into an ice hole and his entire body was shivering in fear while blood drained from his face instantly.
Zayn could see Rugal’s reaction as well and he knew that Rugal could recognize him now. He said in a bantering tone, “It seems that you’ve finally remembered me.”
Rugal’s knees buckled and he bowed before Zayn abruptly. He said in a pleading tone, “Mr. Larson, Mr. Larson! I didn’t know that Agatha is another one of your women too! There has been a misunderstanding, Mr. Larson. Don’t kill me, I’m begging you!”
The scene changed too drastically in a short period of time. Rugal was still insufferably arrogant earlier yet how did he become so scared just because of Zayn’s remark? Moreover, he was bowing to Zayn.
The change was so drastic that it stunned every person in the house completely. It was incredulous.
Agatha and Ingrid were completely in an astounded state now. Their jaws dropped so low that one could even stuff a fist in their mouths. They were completely dumbstruck in bewilderment.
Zayn let out a grunt. “A misunderstanding? I don’t think it’s as simple as a misunderstanding, right. You seem to have all the power and prestige earlier, I thought you were ordering your subordinates to break my arms and legs!”
“That’s really bold of you. I haven’t seen you in half a year yet you’re already so formidable. It seems that your mayor uncle has been backing you up huh!”
Upon hearing that, Rugal was trembling even more violently. He was almost in tears. He was very scared and anxious now.
Not that he was a coward but it was because he looked into Zayn’s background specifically afterward and found out how terrifying Zayn’s background was. Even a powerful man like Luke Jones was a subordinate to Zayn. On the other hand, his mayor uncle had to treat Luke with respect in Luke’s presence.
One could imagine how terrifying Zayn was.
The most terrifying part was Zayn’s martial arts skills. Zayn was a master fighter and he witnessed Zayn’s battle against Mia in the past too.
Even though it was just a video recording, Zayn’s performance in the video left a profound memory in his mind and he was shocked!
He knew that a man like Zayn could suffocate him to death as easily as crushing an ant.
Hence, he could no longer care about anything else. He bowed at Zayn repeatedly right away and bawled as he said, “I was wrong, Mr. Larson. I was wrong, I’m begging you to show mercy and not to lower yourself to my level.”
“I’m begging you to spare my measly life, Mr. Larson. I would do anything for you and serve you willingly, boo-hoo…”
He bowed repetitively and sincerely. His back ached from bowing repeatedly yet he did not have the courage to stop even for a moment because this was nothing as compared to his life.
Meanwhile, Agatha had finally recovered from her surprise. She looked straight at Zayn as if it was her first time meeting Zayn. She could not refrain herself from swallowing a gulp of saliva heavily!
