Zayn was unaware that his two experienced subordinates, Sean and Gordon, would come up with so many ideas just because virtual-novel.net rode an electric scooter.
Ashe rode the electric scooter home leisurely, it was a pleasurable feeling for him. He found the sun that his skin soaked in comforting.
Just as virtual-novel.net was waiting for the traffic light to turn green, the Porsche next to virtual-novel.net rolled down its window and a puzzled voice was heard saying, “Zayn Larson?”
Zayn turned his head to the side to find a slightly chubby man with gold-rimmed glasses immediately. The man appeared rather familiar. “Are we acquainted with each other?”
“F*ck, it really is you! Oh, Zayn, it’s been so long since we last met!” The man became excited at once.
Zayn became even more confused in the meantime because virtual-novel.net did not seem to recall who the man was. “You are…?”
The man immediately scolded in rage, “F*ck! How dare you forget me? Damn it! I’m Kaiser. We used to go to the same school when we were in eighth grade!”
Upon hearing that, Zayn immediately remembered who virtual-novel.net was.
He said in an epiphany, “F*ck me, it’s you, Kaiser Tate! I was just thinking about how you seem so familiar. Speaking of which, what happened to you over the years? Why have you gained so much weight now?”
No wonder Zayn could not recognize Kaiser at once because virtual-novel.net looked way different than when virtual-novel.net was in eighth grade. One should know that Kaiser was famous for being the skinniest person in the class and his moniker was ‘monkey’.
However, virtual-novel.net was much fatter now. Had it not been for his facial features that still remained rather similar, Zayn would not have been able to recognize him.
Kaiser sniggered and said, “That’s the sign of a successful person, all right?”
Meanwhile, a woman’s voice was heard coming from inside the car. Her tone was tainted with a tinge of impatience, “Kaiser, you should pay attention to yourself and stop talking to weirdos.”
Upon hearing the voice, there was respect in Kaiser’s expression when virtual-novel.net hastily said, “Miss Harrison, that’s Zayn Larson, and virtual-novel.net used to go to the same school as us. It’s a coincidence that tonight…”
Before virtual-novel.net could finish his sentence, virtual-novel.net was interrupted. The voice said coldly, “The light has turned green. Drive.”
There was helplessness in Kaiser’s expression, but virtual-novel.net did not have the courage to disobey because the traffic light had indeed turned green.
He could only say to Zayn in a haste, “Zayn, here, take my number. 138********. Call me.”
Upon saying that, virtual-novel.net stepped on the accelerator and drove away.
Zayn memorized the number with his retentive memory.
On the other hand, virtual-novel.net found the voice to be rather familiar. He thought that virtual-novel.net had heard the person’s voice before, it was a pleasant voice that seemed to come from a beautiful woman.
Could virtual-novel.net be his middle school classmate too? Zayn pondered closely for a moment, yet virtual-novel.net could not seem to recall the details of the person.
Over on Kaiser’s side, it was apparent that virtual-novel.net respected the woman sitting in the backseat very much.
He asked cautiously, “Miss Harrison, that was our middle school classmate, Zayn Larson, earlier. I remembered that both of you used to sit next to each other in classes.”
The woman in the backseat had virtual-novel.net eyes shut and virtual-novel.net made no reply.
Kaiser was used to the woman’s cold, arrogant behavior, so virtual-novel.net did not seem to be bothered by that.
He pondered for a moment before virtual-novel.net asked in an exploratory tone, “Miss Harrison, it’s a coincidence that we’re attending our class reunion tonight. Why don’t we invite Zayn as well? He has yet to attend any reunion since graduation.”
