“Lysithea, have you made up your mind?” Hayley asked with a frown.
Lysithea nodded and said, “Mm-hmm. I’ve made up my mind. I’ll be back to visit you, Aunt Hayley.”
Hayley sighed, but she did not try to persuade Lysithea to stay anymore.
She said to Zayn, “Zayn, send Lysithea off.”
“Alright, Mom.”
Zayn had just nodded when Lysithea immediately said, “It’s okay. I can walk. There’s no need for him to see me off.”
She said it in a frosty tone that confused Zayn. Could it be that he had offended her?
Lysithea refused to explain and did not even glance at him before leaving.
“Mom, what’s going on with Lysithea? Why is she insisting on leaving for no reason?” asked Zayn in confusion.
Hayley gazed at him deeply and made a meaningful remark, “It’s not her home, so she won’t be comfortable here.”
Zayn was still bewildered. Even if it was not her home, there was no need for her to behave so coldly, was there? They were close acquaintances.
By noon, Faye came home and discovered that Lysithea was gone. She did not seem surprised and heaved a sigh as she turned to Zayn in the living room, saying, “She’s a troublemaker…”
Zayn’s successful return from Sicut In Caelo’s headquarters alive put Sean, Gordon, Luke, and the others at ease. The weight on their chests had finally been lifted.
As life returned to normal, Zayn had time to unwind as well. He was not only winding down physically but also psychologically.
When he had the opportunity to test them, he noticed his skills had improved a little. During one of his training sessions, Zayn felt he had reached the threshold of invincibilis for just a brief moment!
Unfortunately, it went away as quick as it came, and all attempts to do it again were in vain.
That being said, it was enough to excite Zayn. It had been less than three months since his breakthrough to perfect-class, yet he had already felt the threshold of invincibilis.
The speed of his advancement defied logic and would cause great debate if news of it were to spread.
Zayn knew that it was only because of his meeting with Paxton and also the mysterious Saint Caelum.
Otherwise, it would have been impossible for him to be at the edge of invincibilis so soon if he had only relied on his own training and not consumed the Aeon Karpos. It was great even if it had only lasted a moment!
During that time, Zayn was not simply idling. Besides training himself, he frequently visited Insurgent Trifecta.
As the chief instructor of Insurgent Trifecta, Zayn held a high position in the organization. He had become a crucial member of the organization.
Before he knew it, one month had passed. In that time, Zayn’s skills had plateaued, and he had reached the peak of a master fighter’s perfect class. He had only improved a little compared to when he fought Ezra.
The director of Insurgent Trifecta, Joe Pennywise declared in a deep voice, “The World Athletics Championship is going to be held next month in our country.”
“Our young and talented members were defeated during the World Athletics Championship for the past few years, and it was a disgrace to us!”
“This year’s World Athletics Championship is going to be held in our country. We have an order from our superior stating that we must be the champions this year!”
His expression was extremely solemn. He paused for a moment before turning to Zayn, “What are your thoughts on this, Sergeant Larson?”
