Axton stared at Zayn. In the beginning, he dreaded Zayn a little. After all, it did not seem like Dick, Liam, and the others were fooling around with their excited reaction earlier.
Yet, he observed Zayn clearly and found that he looked so young that it was utterly impossible for the rumor to be true. Moreover, Zayn’s presence was not powerful either.
He was a fourth-tier master fighter at most, and his achievement seemed to be rather recent.
Given that he could defeat Zayn with just a few kicks and punches, he was devoid of fear. On the contrary, he crossed his arms and looked at Zayn with a spurious smile.
His main purpose of coming here this time was to discredit the myth created by the Insurgent Trifecta so he could prove his worthiness.
“It’s great that you’re here, Sergeant Larson.”
Joe immediately felt relieved at the sight of Zayn, the mainstay of the organization.
Zayn had already turned into the mainstay of the Insurgent Trifecta without his notice. They felt at ease as long as Zayn was with them.
The members of the Insurgent Trifecta had more confidence in Zayn than ever after Zayn personally defeated Raiden on Mount Roi. In fact, they held Zayn in awe and veneration even!
Zayn nodded. He took a brief glance at the situation at the scene and roughly figured out what happened earlier.
Axton eyed Zayn askance and spoke in a very frivolous tone while radiating with hubris.
He refused to take Zayn seriously and said smugly, “Boy, so you’re the perfect-class master fighter who’s not even 30 years old? Your Insurgent Trifecta is quite good at sensationalizing things, huh?”
“All of you are so good at bragging that you’re better off getting involved in the country’s politics instead of maintaining the safety of the country, eh?”
Upon hearing his remark, the people from Yando City made bantering noises and burst out chuckling aloud.
The members of the Insurgent Trifecta gnashed their teeth in anger once again.
Feeling extremely furious, they waited eagerly for Zayn to demonstrate his power and teach these b*st*rds a good lesson. These people had gone too far!
Zayn did not seem to be affected much, nevertheless. The expression on his face remained the same.
“Look at you. D’you think that you’re really that formidable, and that’s why you won’t take the Insurgent Trifecta seriously?” asked Zayn, feigning a smile.
Axton sniggered in contempt. “Well, it’s not so much of what I think, but it is the truth. The Insurgent Trifecta has already been on a decline from the start.”
“Since the organization is already hopeless, its members should be self-aware and withdraw properly! Don’t go beyond your abilities. The Martial Arts Cup is crucial for the country, is the Insurgent Trifecta worthy of bearing such a great responsibility? F*ck!”
He was extremely arrogant and wildly conceited now to the extent that the very sight of him was an abomination. Zayn did not resent him much initially, yet he began to feel displeased now.
Liam immediately could not refrain from rebuking, “Axton, stop being so cocky! Now that Sergeant Larson is here, he can easily teach you a good lesson!”
“My advice to you is to behave yourself and apologize to our members. Or else, when Sergeant Larson makes a move later, a single flick from him is enough to defeat you!”
Dick said, “That’s right, Axton! You and your amateur skills are nothing in the presence of our Sergeant Larson. It’s best for you to apologize now before you lose the chance after he makes a move. Sergeant Larson can blast you away with just one slap.”
The rest of the Insurgent Trifecta members began to retaliate now that their courage was boosted. They threw all sorts of insults that made Axton’s expression turn sour. As a result, the crowd from Yando City was infuriated as well.
“Axton, why are you still making small talk with them? Make a move right away and f*ck the brat up with one slap!”
“That’s right, Lawrence. Make a move now and beat this Larson kid up until he bawls!”
“F*ck him up, Sergeant Larson…”
Axton’s temper was rising as well. He looked at Zayn with an icy cold gaze. “Boy, you’ve infuriated me. Bow down and apologize to me now, and I shall spare your life, or else, you’re fated to die!”
