She felt very hurt and sad. It was obviously Stefan’s fault for flirting with the woman, yet he still had the audacity to berate her!
She had been looking forward to the party that day. In fact, she had even done much to put in the good word with her grandfather and father.
She waited for Stefan to ask her to dance, so she could seize the opportunity to confess her feelings for him.
Instead, Stefan rejected her in the worst manner.
She had never been bullied all her life, and she discovered that she could not stop herself from crying.
Stefan was unaware of her tear-filled situation. He looked around after returning to the ballroom, but he could not find Cyrene anymore. It was very apparent that she had already left the party.
He found and greeted Ioe then before getting straight to the point by saying, “Director Pennywise, have you ever heard about the Medusa Dames?”
Joe had been beaming with joy and pleasure, yet the smile on his face froze immediately after hearing Stefan’s question. Moreover, his expression abruptly turned grim.
He placed his glass down and said in a deep voice, “How did you learn about the Medusa Dames, Sergeant Larson?”
Stefan was rather surprised by Joe’s reaction. Could it be that the Medusa Dames really existed? Moreover, the club was not as simple as it seemed if it turned a man like Joe so solemn.
“Yes.” Stefan briefly detailed his earlier encounter. Upon finishing, he asked, “It seems that the Medusa Dames is a powerful club?”
Joe’s expression grew even more grim upon hearing that. He said, “Powerful is one thing, but the club is rather unique. Its members are all women.
“Moreover, every single one of them is beautiful and their president was as attractive as Aphrodite!”
“Most importantly, all the members were trained in Aphroditeux Wrestling and they’re a terrifying bunch. There’s a rumor that their president is even capable of entrancing an invincibilis powerhouse!”
Upon hearing that, Stefan was astonished. The willpower of an invincibilis fighter was extremely strong, but the president of Medusa Dames was even capable of enchanting one. How would that make sense?
Stefan realized that he almost fell for it as well as he recalled Cyrene’s seductive charms.
“If that’s the case, is it an evil club?” Stefan asked, deep in thought.
Joe shook his head. “It’s not considered an evil club, but they get involved in some unusual things and it’s quite strange. The club has never interacted with us, so why would they come looking for you, Sergeant Larson?”
Upon hearing Joe’s explanation, Stefan began to understand the Medusa Dames better. He shook his head and said, “I don’t know why either.”
Stefan paused for a moment before asking, “Cyrene mentioned big four clubs. What are they?”
Stefan looked at Ioe so he would not miss his expression.
If the Medusa Dames existed, the big four clubs Cyrene mentioned must also have been real. Moreover, these clubs were not as simple as they seemed.
He knew nothing of the four big clubs. In fact, he did not even know about any club, so he could not understand any of it.
Stefan was no longer just an ordinary man, but he had never heard anything about this topic even after joining Insurgent Trifecta.
This meant there could only be one possibility, the information was kept a secret.
