After hearing the big four being mentioned, Joe’s expression grew even more grim.
It was quite apparent that the big four had an even more complicated origin.
Joe was silent for a good while as if he was pondering something.
Joe raised his head to take a few glances at Mozart before he said, “Sigh… the truth is, the matter with the big four is not considered a secret to the top personnel of our organization.”
“It’s only that the four clubs have been keeping a low profile in recent few years and didn’t cause any trouble in Rheasia territory. Hence, I didn’t talk to you about it all this time.”
Mozart remained silent and waited for Joe to go on.
Something told him that the big four was certainly a troublesome group as well.
Joe paused for a moment before walking to the corner to find a suitable place for them to discuss it. Then, he began to speak, “In truth, our country is not as peaceful as it seems on the surface.”
“Not only Rheasia, but all the countries in the world are not as calm as they might seem. The world doesn’t just exist in the form of countries, but it also exists in another form and that is the clubs!”
Mozart felt rather shocked upon hearing Joe’s explanation. Joe had never imagined that the world existed in the form of clubs. They were not living in ancient times. It was the modern age in the 21st century!
All sorts of technologies had developed so rapidly, yet the ancient way of forming clubs was still in use?
Theoretically, clubs should have already been eliminated ages past.
Mozart said in a deep voice, “How does a club exist in the world? Won’t there be conflicts between the clubs and the countries?”
Joe seemed to be expecting that Mozart would ask about this. Joe let out a forced chuckle and said, “Conflict is inevitable, of course. After all, both countries and clubs exist in this world, so how could they not clash?”
“It’s only that countries and clubs are equally powerful, so they gradually develop a balanced relationship. I suppose you can say that these two parties mind their own business.”
Mozart became even more confused after hearing that. Joe could not figure out how clubs and countries could get along with each other peacefully.
It went against everything he knew and all the knowledge he had gained over the years!
Soon enough, he asked the crucial question. “Director Pennywise, you’re saying that clubs exist in the real world out there? The members of the clubs are walking among the normal citizens?”
Joe said, “Yes. The clubs and countries share the same world.”
Mozart asked, “Is there anyone from these clubs in Insurgent Trifecta?”
It was a blunt question. Insurgent Trifecta was an important organization in the country. If the club members were lurking within it, it would be a serious issue!
However, Joe’s answer shocked Mozart completely. Joe nodded, let out a forced laugh and said, “Yes.”
Mozart raised an eyebrow and said, “Who is it?”
The pitch of his voice had raised beyond his control.
Joe looked toward another spot as if he was troubled by something. Joe was reluctant to answer and only turned around after a while. Joe heaved a sigh and said, “They’re closer than you think.”
Upon hearing that, Mozart was even more shocked. Joe’s meaning was as plain as day, so Mozart blurted out, “It’s you, Director Pennywise?”
“That’s right!” Joe nodded, letting out a forced chuckle as he said, “You must be surprised, right? I’m really a member of a club. Moreover, I’m from one of the big four known as Nirvana Blest.”
Frankly, Mozart was rather shocked to learn about this. It did not take him long to process it nor did he lose his composure, but the day’s events had surpassed his expectations.
