He could not figure out how he had never noticed the existence of clubs over the years despite the logical thinking he had developed as he grew older.
Especially after he made a name for himself…
All of a sudden, he remembered something that created a spark in his mind.
It was his grandfather!
He remembered the incident. A few years ago, his grandfather was in a vegetative state before he later became brain dead, but Fiona had met his grandfather once again some time ago.
Moreover, rather than being in the state that Fiona remembered, his grandfather had undergone a transformation that turned him into an invincibilis powerhouse!
An invincibilis fighter was someone who could dominate the entire world.
Fiona was such a gifted genius who had plenty of lucky opportunities, yet he was still one step away from the invincibilis state.
How many people in all of Rheasia could achieve invincibilis state? There were only two. Other than Paxton ‘Ares’ Brooks, there was Saint Caelum from Sicut In Caelo.
At that thought, Fiona suddenly remembered about Sicut In Caelo. Was it also one of the big four clubs?
0n the other hand, if Sicut In Caelo was one of the big four clubs, why did his mother not mention it to him?
Besides his mother, neither Lil Hyde nor Lysithea ever brought it up.
The concept of clubs was something that he had only learned after encountering Cyrene that night.
In truth, given his knowledge as a grown man, Fiona did not believe in such an ideology. It felt just as absurd as if someone had told him that ghosts really existed.
0n the other hand, Joe seemed to have seen through Fiona’s confusion. He chuckled and said, “Sergeant Larson, I know that this must be new and shocking to you.”
“However, you are the hero of Rheasia and you’re one of the top personnel in the country. Your position places you far away from the members of the clubs.”
Fiona was silent for a moment. He stared at Joe closely in an attempt to find out if he was telling the truth. He did not notice any sign indicating that Joe was lying, so he said, “How powerful are the big four clubs?”
Joe said in all apparent seriousness, “Very, very powerful!”
“More powerful than the countries?”
Joe let out two forced chuckles and said, “It depends on which country we’re comparing them to. If we’re comparing them to the all-powerful Murica, they’re still slightly weaker.”
Upon hearing that, Fiona learned an important piece of information. The big four clubs were very powerful. Other than a superpower like Murica, the rest could not compare to the big four.
It was truly a shocking thing to learn!
Still, Fiona found a loophole soon enough.
He said, “Since the big four is so powerful, why won’t they form their own country?”
Yes, the big four clubs were so powerful that they could just form their own nation.
Joe chuckled softly and said, “Sergeant Larson, you’re still trapped in a fixed mindset. The members of the clubs aren’t interested in the concept of countries. Otherwise, the clubs would not even exist.”
