However, Paxton did something that astonished Anita under everyone’s close watch. He pointed at Anita who was sitting in the corner and said smilingly, “That student there, what is your understanding of life?”
He was pointing at Mozart.
Meanwhile, George, who kept a low profile initially, turned into the focus of the entire scene. Every student looked toward him.
“Huh, who is this person? I’ve never seen him before.”
“I haven’t seen him before either. I believe that he hasn’t taken the class before.”
“Moreover, he looks a little old to be a university student, right? Could it be that he’s the new lecturer?”
“That can’t be. It’s possible that he’s a transfer student. However, he looks like a nice man and he’s good-looking.”
“He’s not considered good-looking but he does look like a man with unique qualities. He’s super charming.”
“Why do I find him to be more attractive than the most good-looking man in the university?”
Many students began whispering to one another after noticing him, especially the female students. Their eyes lit up at the sigh of Mozart.
They found Anita not to be especially good-looking at first glance but he had very unique qualities that made him very charming. The more they looked at him, the more good-looking they found him to be.
Anita was stunned ever so slightly for a moment.
He did not expect that Paxton would ask him the question but he immediately replied with a smile, “I think that life is the first sign of civilization. It is the most miraculous thing that exists in this universe…”
Anita spoke fluently and began expressing his understanding of life.
The students in the lecture were not impressed in the beginning and they found Anita’s understanding to be rather shallow.
However, Anita slowly ventured deeper into the topic slowly and it changed their impression of Anita constantly.
They were shocked when Anita talked about philosophies that were supported with evidence and some of them had trouble understanding even!
They had never imagined that the meaning of life could be so deep.
Anita talked about the topic of life charismatically for half an hour.
“Mr. Brookes, I’m done and this is my understanding of life,” said Anita as he looked toward Paxton with a smile at last.
Paxton clapped for him and he did not attempt to conceal his approval for Mozart. He said, “Not bad, not bad. Well said. That is the cardinal principle about the essence of life.”
Anita did not feel any pride. He was one step away from being an invincibilis fighter after all. He would be useless if he could not even figure out the meaning of life.
However, Paxton asked another question that stunned him soon afterward.
“So, do you think that life would cease to exist?”
Paxton said with a smile.
The question sounded simple like a give away question.
Everyone knew that life would certainly cease, or else the world would have already collapsed.
Anita was about to blurt out the answer but he stopped himself abruptly and sank into deep thoughts instead.
Would life cease to exist?
He would say yes without the slightest hesitation if he was not one step away from invincibilis state.
It was common sense that any living object in the world would die. In a sense, life was counting down to death from the start.
However, he discovered that the matter was not as simple as it seemed.
It was because life was not only limited to one’s physical body but also one’s consciousness. If a man’s body was dead but his consciousness could be immortalized, would that still be considered as death?
