The more Prince William interacted with Leonardo, the more he found him to be a fool. He had to be an idiot to be making such claims.
He was the Prince of Yingland, the beloved grandson of the Queen. Who in all of Yingland would be so senseless to try to assassinate him?
He had been living in Yingland for a long time, yet no one had ever attempted to assassinate him. No one did it in the past and no one would do it in the future either.
Soon, Prince William found the loophole and asked, “Since you know that assassins are targeting us, why did you still get into the same car as us? Aren’t you scared of dying?”
Indeed, it did not make sense. Since George was aware that they were already targeted by the assassins, why did he still get into the car with them? Could it be that George was not afraid to die? It could not be explained.
Alice looked at George out of curiosity and wondered how he would answer the question.
George did not express any guilt or fear. He remained as nonchalant as before when he said, “I’m here to protect Ms. Alice.”
Alice blushed upon hearing that and her heart was racing beyond her control. She did not expect that George would actually try to protect her.
However, it sounded like the biggest joke in the world to Prince William. He could not refrain himself from laughing aloud. “Hah-hah-hah-ha!”
“I’m going to die from laughter. Are all Rheasians as wildly conceited and idiotic as you? How dare you claim to wish to protect Alice? Do you even know who Alice is? In addition, you’re just a frail Rheasian.”
“What do you have to protect her? Just with the martial arts that we see in your country’s movies? Hah-hah-hah.”
Prince William was shaking with laughter and he thought of George as nothing more than a clown.
On the other hand, Alice’s impression of George was ruined a little after she cleared her head. She felt he had to be somewhat arrogant to say something like that.
Anyway, she did not think that assassins would have the courage to do anything to them in Yingland unless whoever was behind it had a death wish.
Even if someone was targeting them, it was impossible for George to save their lives by himself.
Prince William had a team of the most highly skilled bodyguards in the world. If they were under threat, their guards would be able to calmly handle anyone attempting to assassinate them.
Alice shook her head, but she still attempted to help George by saying to Prince William, “He’s only joking. Oh right, Leonardo, where are you heading to? I’ll tell the driver to send you to your destination.”
George did not comment further after noticing that Prince William and Alice did not take the matter seriously. The assassins had already tracked them anyhow, so the operation would begin soon.
He considered for a moment after Alice asked him and said, “I’m going to meet the Queen. Please take me to the palace if it’s okay.”
“That’s enough!” Prince William was infuriated by George mentioning the Queen over and over. It was so disrespectful. Their noble Queen was such a respectable figure. Was the lowly Rheasian George worthy of meeting her?
Prince William stared at George and said harshly, “Rheasian, I didn’t bother arguing with you out of respect for Alice. My politeness is not an excuse for you to say whatever you’d like!”
“Her Majesty is most honorable and you’re not allowed to be disrespectful, Rheasian!”
Alice furrowed her brows ever so slightly for a moment. She was under the assumption that George had gone too far.
Even she was not worthy of meeting Her Majesty and George was just a Rheasian. Who did he think he was to be worthy of meeting Her Majesty?
George heaved a sigh. He was rather frustrated that Prince William and Alice refused to believe him when he was obviously telling the truth.
If that was the case, he could not be bothered to comment further.
