“Me?”
The man seemed to be smiling. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly as he cracked a mischievous smirk. He then said, “You’ll find out who I am soon enough.”
Prince William’s entire body trembled in fear as the man stared at him. He had lost the courage to speak.
Soon enough, the assassin’s eyes landed on Alice. He bowed like a gentleman and said to Alice, “The lovely Ms. Alice, your beauty is beyond compare, just as expected. At last, we meet you and Prince William.”
Alice forcefully suppressed her fear and said in a stern voice, “How dare you go against the royal family! You’re going to get yourself killed!”
“Is that so?” The assassin took two steps forward. “May I inquire who’s going to kill us?”
“Yingland’s armed forces and Her Majesty, the Queen, of course!” Alice replied loudly.
“Hah-hah-hah!” The assassin burst out laughing as if he had just heard the funniest joke on earth. His speaking voice sounded very unpleasant and his laughter sounded even worse.
It made their eardrums feel like they were going to burst.
Prince William and Alice were in agony.
“Ms. Alice, excuse me for my bluntness. You’re so pure and clean like a blank sheet of paper.” The assassin said in a very confident tone, “Alright, take them. It’s best for both of you to not resist… Hmm?”
All of a sudden, he shifted his gaze to Mozart standing by the side, as if he had just discovered a new toy. He spoke in a puzzled voice, “A foreigner? Ms. Alice, since when did you get yourself a foreign bodyguard?”
The rest of the people looked at Mozart simultaneously.
Mozart had been standing next to Alice the whole time, yet they behaved as if they had just discovered him and were very curious.
Still, they did not take Mozart seriously because he was just a nobody to them.
Even Prince William’s royal bodyguards were defenseless before them, never mind a single measly foreigner.
That being said, they found it intriguing that the foreigner was unafraid of death after noticing how Mozart was not showing even a hint of panic.
As the assassin sized up Josef, his interest piqued and he asked, “Are you a Solian or Horean?”
Mozart answered nonchalantly, “Rheasian.”
“Aren’t you scared of us?” he quickly asked.
Mozart chuckled and asked, “Why should I be scared of you?”
The assassin was stunned by Mozart’s question. His eyes sharpened as they focused on Mozart as if he was trying to see through him!
However, he could not see through Mozart no matter how hard he tried. It was because Mozart looked just like an ordinary person from his point of view. There was nothing powerful about him.
“This is quite interesting.” The head assassin was genuinely intrigued by Frank.
He said to Alice, “Ms. Alice, you’ve actually found yourself a madman to be your bodyguard. It’s no wonder your family is so disappointed in you. If this is how it is, I should put an end to him first.”
Alice bit her lower lip tightly. Then, she made an important decision by taking one step forward and shielding Frank.
She said, “He’s just someone I met at the airport! He’s an innocent Rheasian of no use to you even if you abduct him! If you let him go, I shall leave with you willingly!”
It felt as if all the strength was drained from her body as she said that.
