Meanwhile, Paul was astonished and touched by her actions. He did not expect Alice would still come to his defence at that point.
It seemed that Alice was a truly kindhearted person. It was a waste for someone like her to marry Prince William.
Before the lead assassin could reply, Prince William shouted, “Don’t free him! He’s not just anybody. He’s Alice’s friend. He’ll also be of use to you, so you should take him too!”
Alice was furious upon hearing Prince William’s remark, so she berated him, “Nonsense! You know he’s just an ordinary person and he’s innocent, so why get him involved in this?”
Prince William spoke through gritted teeth, “Alice, you’re a b*tch! I was just thinking about why you travelled to Rheasia.”
“So it turns out that it was a secret rendezvous for you and this Rheasian! You’ve brought shame to our country!”
“You…”
Alice was so infuriated by Prince William‘s accusation that tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down her face!
There was nothing between her and Abraham. It was fine if Prince William did not trust her, but he had actually slandered her in this manner!
Prince William was very displeased. He assumed Alice had certainly cheated on him and had a secret affair with the damned Rheasian.
If he was about to die, he wanted to take Paul down with him!
“Sigh…” Paul heaved a sigh. He felt rather sympathetic for Alice when he saw her crying.
Taking her hand, he pulled out a tissue to wipe away her tears while he said in a comforting voice, “Don’t cry, Ms. Alice. A man like this is not worth your tears.”
Alice spoke with a sad and regretful tone, “I’m sorry for getting you involved, Abraham. I wouldn’t have offered you a ride if I knew…”
Paul patted her shoulder, cracked a gentle smile and said, “Silly girl, you haven’t troubled me at all. I told you, I’m going to protect you.”
Alice was stunned for a moment upon hearing that. She then shook her head and assumed Paul was only saying that to console her. It was impossible for him to protect her under such circumstances, not even if he could clone himself.
The assassins had grown impatient, and their leader swiftly commanded them, “Take them all.”
“Yes, sir!”
The assassins hurriedly walked over to apprehend their targets.
That was when Paul suddenly said, “Everyone’s here, right?”
His voice sounded like it came from afar. It was magnificent.
The assassins were astounded by his baffling question and had no idea what he meant. They thought Paul was a madman of some sort.
One of the assassins violently pinned him down.
In response, Paul simply said, “Do you know why I didn’t make a move earlier? It’s because I was waiting for you to group together. This way, I’ll be able to capture all of you at once.”
Upon saying that, he cracked a mischievous smile and then made a swift and bold movement.
Before the assassin standing in front of him could react, he clutched the man’s neck and instantly broke it with a casual squeeze…
