Alice immediately stepped forward upon hearing that. She was agitated.
She refused to believe that Dora was the culprit!
If Dora was behind it, why had he helped them? What was his motive when he beat those assassins to death?
Dora narrowed his eyes ever so slightly as well. His pupils were tainted with an icy chill and anger.
He knew that Prince William was not a magnanimous person. He had poor character and was hostile toward him.
Still, he did not expect that Prince William’s mind could be so twisted that he would repay his kindness with ingratitude for such selfish reasons!
The general continued to speak, “We have been ordered by Prince William to capture the assassin. Ms. Alice, please don’t trust him!”
Upon saying that, he made a hand gesture that signaled the army to make a move. Moreover, they raised their weapons to aim at Dora and would shoot as soon as he made any sudden movements.
Alice grew even more flustered upon witnessing the situation. She hastily said, “This must be a misunderstanding!”
Horton’s expression grew solemn instantly when he noticed that Alice was trying to protect Barne. He hastily yelled, “Come back here, Alice!”
Alice was quickly grabbed by two bodyguards.
Alice said anxiously, “Dad, this must be a misunderstanding! Dora can’t possibly be the culprit. He saved Prince William and me! I can attest to that!”
“Shut up!” Horton scolded her harshly with a grim expression, “What could a girl like you know? Go back to your room now and you’re to be confined until I order otherwise!”
“Dad…” Alice was very flustered. She planned on pleading on behalf of Alder, but she was taken away by the two bodyguards before she could.
Dora shook his head upon witnessing the scene. It was not that he was scared or angry. He just felt sad that Alice was born into such a family. They were using her like she was nothing more than a political tool.
“Rheasian, I advise you to surrender peacefully. Otherwise, don’t blame my soldiers if there’s a little accident with their weapons!” the general standing in front said rudely.
The soldiers had also begun to surround Dora slowly, with more than thirty rifles aimed at him.
With a single order, Dora could be riddled with bullet holes.
An ordinary man would be scared out of his wits under such circumstances. Even a perfect-class master fighter would have a hard time fleeing from an entire army.
After all, a perfect-class master fighter was still a human being, and it was impossible for him to deflect bullets with his body alone.

“You have audacity!” the general harshly shouted at once. “You despicable Rheasian! How dare you badmouth His Highness. I can see that you’re trying to get yourself killed! Load the rifles!”
Following his order, those soldiers began to load their rifles. The chilling sound of rifles being cocked could be heard. The Alexander family hastily returned to the house, not having the courage to stand there in fear of being implicated.
However, Dora only shook his head nonchalantly to express his indifference.
