A fighter’s constant effort to engage in training was to temper himself and expand his limits. It was the ideology of a man whose powers could conquer nature.
Still, there were limits to mankind and there was an end to how far one could go.
Sensing George’s dejection, the Queen chuckled and said, “I had almost the same reaction when I first learned about the limits of mankind. I was very dejected, sad, and doubtful.”
George remained silent.
The Queen continued to speak, “The invincibilis state is already a breakthrough to nature’s limits upon humanity. There are billions of people in this world but only a few invincibilis fighters.”
“On the other hand, a Level-3 invincibilis fighter is a godlike superhuman. Though they won’t be able to break the laws of physics or fly, the fighter is all-powerful and capable of many other feats. It may be the end of the path, but it is enough.”
The Queen’s statement made a lot of sense. The invincibilis state was supposed to be the long cherished goal of countless fighters.
Anyone at invincibilis state was no longer human, but close to being a god! Their fighting skills would only increase a little, but many other traits would be greatly improved.
There were massive changes to one’s lifespan, intelligence, mental capabilities, and many other aspects upon reaching invincibilis…
If George could reach the invincibility state, given his condition, it would be possible for him to live for two centuries or more.
“The training of martial arts is more difficult than anything else in the world.”
“Countless fighters have been training day and night constantly since ancient times just to improve themselves in the hope that they can push through the limits of humanity indefinitely, but it’s all wishful thinking.” George shook his head and laughed.
“Still, I don’t believe that there’s an end to the path. After all, the path was created by humans. Our predecessors assumed the path had come to an end, but their successors may still be able to push beyond that.”
The Queen looked at him for a long, long time before she cracked a smile and applauded.
“You live up to the reputation of being the chosen one who embodies the great power of Rheasia. Well said. Our predecessors’ beliefs may not necessarily be true.”
“They assumed that Level-3 invincibilis was the end, but perhaps we may be able to go further than that.”
George did not sweep up with pride, but smiled nonchalantly upon receiving the Queen’s compliment.
Next, they chatted for a while more regarding the issues with martial arts.
As the champion of the Martial Arts Cup, George was rewarded with the opportunity to seek guidance from the Queen, so she did not attempt to hide anything and told him all that she knew.
George had no choice but to acknowledge that the Queen was still the head of her country despite being an invincibilis fighter over eighty years old.
She had a great mind that had accumulated all sorts of knowledge, and George benefited immensely from chatting with her.
There were many questions that he could not figure out before or had not even thought of, but he was enlightened after communicating with the Queen.
It could be said that other than learning about martial arts, George learned about life, philosophy, economics, sociology, physics, astronomy, quantum mechanics, and much more after talking with the Queen!
In truth, at his state, George was more than just a fighter. Alder was not so shallow and his studies involved multiple fields. In this, the Queen was a prolific figure!
She had so much knowledge and it would not be an exaggeration to claim she would certainly achieve greatness if she were to engage in academia and science!
George had also gained a better understanding of why Paxton wanted to work as a university professor.
It was because at his state, his concerns and goals were no longer something that ordinary fighters would understand.
Even though George had yet to reach that stage, he began to learn, understand, and interact with it more.
Alder could feel that he was so close to the invincibilis state!
Alder would only need an opportunity, a turning point for him to smoothly break through to invincibilis.
Perhaps the opportunity would arrive soon.
