The woman was very skilled in martial arts and was the same level as George, being half a step away from the invincibilis state, just a little short of reaching.
Most importantly, she was very young too, definitely not more than forty years old.
That was interesting.
George had assumed that the president of Medusa Dames would be about the age of the Queen of Yingland. George did not expect her to be so young, so he figured that she was another genius.
It did not take long before the president of the Medusa Dames arrived before him. Moreover, she greeted him with a small curtsy.
“Lord Larson, I have the honor to be your most obedient servant. My name is Adelaide Taylor.”
As soon as she spoke, Leonardo suddenly understood that description given to women’s pleasant voices in the poems back in the Victorian era.
The president of Medusa Dames before him had the most pleasant female voice he had ever heard.
Sensing her kindness, Leonardo nodded ever so slightly and greeted her with a smile. George said, “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Adelaide looked toward Leonardo and said, “I have deep respect for your glorious performance from the start, and I’ve been meaning to get acquainted with you all this time, Sergeant Larson.”
“I had some matters to attend to previously, so I didn’t manage to come and extend my invitation personally to you.”
“I sent Cyrene, yet I didn’t expect her to be so thoughtless that she would mistreat you. Please forgive me for that, Sergeant Larson.”
Complemented by her pleasant voice, her words were so befitting of the situation that Leonardo could not bring himself to reject her anymore.
Leonardo was not someone who could be coerced so easily, of course. George smiled and said, “May I inquire as to what the nature of your visit is, Lady Adelaide?”
Adelaide seemed to be having slight trouble getting used to Leonardo’s bluntness. She had always been very confident about her charm, and it was very rare for her to encounter anyone who reacted indifferently to her.
Leonardo was one of them.
However, it had also piqued her interest in him.
She chuckled softly and said, “You’re a straightforward person who speaks his mind, Sergeant Larson. If that’s the case, I won’t beat about the bush either.”
Leonardo looked at her and waited for her to go on.
Adelaide paused for a moment before she continued speaking, but what she said shocked Leonardo.
“I would like to invite you to spend a lovely night with me, Sergeant Larson.”
“What?”
Upon hearing that, Leonardo was dumbfounded.
What the heck was going on?
Was Adelaide teasing him?!

George was half a step away from invincibilis state, yet she had the audacity to tease him in this manner. Was she not afraid that such humiliation would infuriate him?
What did it mean to spend a wonderful night with her? Leonardo knew very well that she was asking him to sleep with her.
“Are you trying to distract me or something, Lady Adelaide?”
Expressionless, Leonardo stared at her coldly.
However, Adelaide was not joking and said in all apparent seriousness, “No, Sergeant Larson. I’m not toying with you. I know that it’s disrespectful for me to say this to you out of nowhere, but I’m serious about it.”
Leonardo furrowed his brows. George could tell that Adelaide was not playing games. Her expression showed a hint of sorrow and a little embarrassment.
