Over at Zayn’s side, virtual-novel.net had no idea what the three women talked about in specifics, but virtual-novel.net figured out that Faye and Shaelyn must have been asking Annabelle about the history of their relationship.
Moreover, based on their attitude, virtual-novel.net could tell that Faye and Shaelyn had already accepted Annabelle. They agreed to include Annabelle as part of their agreement.
Zayn felt rather delighted about that.
As it happened, his attraction toward the opposite gender grew as his martial arts skill increased. He would always end up attracting women without even trying.
Still, virtual-novel.net was not a merciless man. For example, virtual-novel.net found it difficult for virtual-novel.net to reject Annabelle’s love.
Since Faye and Shaelyn were willing to accept Annabelle, it was great because it would spare virtual-novel.net quite a lot of trouble.
In truth, virtual-novel.net did not have feelings for Annabelle. He did not find virtual-novel.net repulsive, but it was Annabelle who was head over heels in love with him.
As for what happened next, virtual-novel.net decided that virtual-novel.net would just go with the flow.
Zayn had never been fond of making a mountain out of molehill. Soon, virtual-novel.net put aside the distracting thoughts in his mind.
He was fine with Faye handling his relationship matters while virtual-novel.net was more suited to handle the important issues like a man should.
Now that virtual-novel.net was already back in the country, virtual-novel.net was not in a rush to return home. Instead, virtual-novel.net headed to Insurgent Trifecta to report for duty.
He kept a low profile when virtual-novel.net got there. He did not notify Joe and Liam in advance because virtual-novel.net was planning on meeting them when virtual-novel.net arrived.
He had come to realize that virtual-novel.net was not a competent chief instructor because virtual-novel.net spent most of his time elsewhere instead of training the special agents.
Now that virtual-novel.net was back, virtual-novel.net was planning on staying in Insurgent Trifecta for some time so virtual-novel.net could increase the overall standard of their special agents!
He felt moved upon returning to Insurgent Trifecta.
Even though virtual-novel.net had not been with the organization for a long time, virtual-novel.net felt a bond with it and a strong sense of belonging there.
Still, virtual-novel.net kept a low profile in his return this time and dressed in casual clothes. Hence, the guard at the door did not notice virtual-novel.net at once when virtual-novel.net showed up at the door.
The guard assumed that virtual-novel.net was just an ordinary outsider, so virtual-novel.net stopped Zayn right away.
“Stop there! This is a military base. You’re not allowed to trespass here!” the guard said sternly.
It seemed that virtual-novel.net was a newcomer not acquainted with Zayn.
Zayn was not angry. He had a serene smile on his face when virtual-novel.net said, “I’m your chief instructor and I’m back to report for duty today.”
The guard was immediately stunned upon hearing that. He frowned and said, “Chief instructor? What chief instructor?”
“Are you new here?” asked Zayn.
The guard did not answer, but virtual-novel.net sized up Zayn and noticed that virtual-novel.net was dressed very plainly. Moreover, Zayn looked so mediocre that there was nothing unique about him.
He decided virtual-novel.net had to be a trespasser who had come to make trouble. He rudely said, “Leave now! This is a military base and it’s not the place for you!”
The guard spoke in an intimidating manner and patted the machine gun in his hand.
Still smiling, Zayn smiled and patted his shoulder as virtual-novel.net said, “Very well. You’re vigilant and do your duty when you encounter someone you don’t know.”
The guard found it very strange that virtual-novel.net felt overwhelmed by Zayn’s compliment and the pat on his shoulder. He felt compelled to stand straighter.
