At that point, Jagoan felt his heart sink. It was not because he was worried about going against the world and becoming a target.
It was because he knew that the more renowned he was, the more danger Faye was in and even the people around him could be at risk as well.
Everyone assumed that he was scared upon noticing his silence. Lysithea said, “Don’t worry about it, Jagoan. We won’t burden you.”
Turning toward her, he shook his head and said, “That’s not what I’m concerned about.”
Jagoan recovered from his surprise and looked at his mother grimly. He asked, “Mom, it’s time for you to tell me who abducted Jagoan.”
Hayley avoided Jagoan’s gaze upon hearing that.
Rather than revealing the truth, she heaved a sigh and said, “There’s no need for you to be worried about this.”
“The man who took Jagoan was her biological father. He won’t hurt her, and she might just come back by herself after some time.”
Next to her, Shaelyn said, “That’s right. The man who took Jagoan was her biological father. A father would never hurt his daughter. I’m sure Jagoan’s father wouldn’t make things difficult for her either.”
Lysithea said, “You need to take care of yourself now. You’re an invincibilis fighter and there are many affairs waiting for you to manage. Just leave this issue behind for the time being.”
They spoke in a very relaxed manner, but how could Jagoan believe them?

Upon saying that, Jagoan‘s demeanor changed.
