He was fully convinced that he would be able to charm Ivanka because, in his eyes, only a woman like her deserved to be with him.

Jean Cyprus let out a loud grunt and took a step forward. He stared at Jagoan and said in an uncourteous tone, “It’s quite rude of you to beat my subordinate. I can see that you’re trying to get yourself killed!”
Jean exuded a burst of power from his body that rushed toward Jagoan. He had absolute confidence in himself.
Even though Jagoan managed to defeat his subordinate with ease earlier, the young man assumed he was but a Tier-4 master fighter. He and Jagoan were worlds apart.
Jean never expected that the man before him was no ordinary man at all, but something of a supreme overlord.
Jagoan furrowed his eyebrows ever so slightly. He could not be bothered by the provocation of vermin like Jean.
At the same time, he could tell that the young man before him came from a rather powerful family, so he speculated that he was most probably trained by a fighting family.
As it was, the clubs were readying to invade the common world, so Jagoan felt the people should be united and not fight each other. Hence, he did not wish to give the young man too harsh a lesson.
He said nonchalantly, “I’m just a regular passerby. I do not wish to harm you.”
It was obvious that his remark was slightly submissive. Anyone acquainted with Jagoan would certainly be astonished by his attitude and see Jean in a new light.

He said in an extremely arrogant manner, “Hmph! How dare you try to run away after beating my subordinate? Why don’t you ask around and see who I am?”
He took a glance at Ivanka standing next to him, planning to show off before her.
He wanted to use his actions to show Ivanka that he was more capable than he seemed.
