However, Ivanka said something next that caught him by surprise and embarrassed him to the point of fury.
“Mr. Larson, please show your magnanimousness and don’t lower yourself to Jean’s level. He’s just a boy, and he didn’t intend to offend you!”
Jagoan was indeed quite infuriated initially. Given his identity, he was already showing respect to Jean earlier when he behaved so submissively.
On the other hand, not only had Jean not appreciated Jagoan’s effort, but he became even more arrogant and humiliated Jagoan verbally.
Jean’s actions had already violated Jagoan’s principles and he was prepared to teach the man a lesson.
However, Jagoan did not lower himself to Jean’s level after Ivanka asked for mercy on Jean’s behalf.
Jagoan stared at Ivanka. From her words, he knew that she had apparently learned about his identity.
However, that did help him avoid all this trouble.
He nodded and said nonchalantly, “Hmm, I won’t lower myself to his level out of respect for you. I still have some matters to attend to, so I shall leave now.”
Upon saying that, he turned around and he was about to leave.
He really did still have matters to attend to. He had not come to Yando City for fun but to meet Paxton. He did not have the time nor interest to fool around with a boy like Jean.
However, his actions infuriated Jean even more and the young man’s face went red with fury!
Yet, Ivanka had even jogged over to block Jagoan’s path, her eyes lit. She appeared anxious yet admired Jagoan very much as if Jagoan was the idol of her life.
Her face was blushing a little when she said softly, “Uh, Mr. Larson, I didn’t manage to recognize you during that incident previously and I wronged you. I’m really sorry about that.”
Jagoan immediately cracked a shy smile upon hearing that.
The woman chose to bring up a topic that was best left unspoken. The previous incident was so embarrassing that Jagoan was not planning on mentioning it after meeting her and had pulled a long face on purpose.
Still, the woman had brought it up, and he wondered if she did it on purpose to embarrass him!
“Uh…” Jagoan let out a few forced chuckles and said, “Ahem… I’ve already forgotten about it. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way.”
He wanted to leave this place quickly.
However, the woman still kept him from leaving. Moreover, she said with an admiring gaze, “Hold on, sir! Will you please sign me an autograph? I’m a big fan of yours!”
“Uh…” Jagoan was stunned. How would he have the nerve to sign an autograph?
Since Ivanka had already said so and he was not good at rejecting a request, he nodded and said, “Sure. I don’t have a pen though.”
Ivanka’s eyes lit up instantly upon hearing Jagoan’s agreement. She hastily said, “I have a pen! I have a pen!”
Upon saying that, she pulled out a pen from her bag right away and passed it to Jagoan.
Jagoan took the pen and asked, “Where do I sign?”
Ivanka checked her surroundings before she bit her lip and mustered the courage to say, “Sign on my chest!”
