All at once, Quintavious found himself perplexed.
Could it be that he had to kill these two oldies for real?
Frankly, he was having some difficulty bringing himself to do that.
Not that he pitied the ordinary people, but he had to protect his reputation. If he were to kill these two helpless, weak ordinary folks, word of the incident would spread for sure. It would become a mark on his reputation.
In truth, reputation was very important for someone of his level. If his reputation was ruined, he would not live a good life anymore.
He did not expect that Jagoan would be so bold as to ignore the two of them.
Would Jagoan really ignore them?
The answer was no for sure!
No matter how ruthless and cruel he was, those were Faye’s parents, albeit not biological. He would certainly fulfill his duty to protect them.
The reason he hung up was mainly because he could tell that the man would not kill the two old folks. The man was only using them to threaten him.
If the man was a frenzied maniac who could kill two helpless old people, it would be useless no matter how angry and frantic Jagoan was.
He was heading over to Barrow Cove at his fastest speed. He would never allow himself to do nothing.
He predicted that the man would certainly call him again soon enough!
As expected, in less than two minutes, his phone began ringing once again.
However, Jagoan did not pick up the call immediately and let the phone ring for quite some time before he picked it up.
He did that not because he was not concerned about the two old folders but because he was very worried about them.
After picking up the call, the man said. “I didn’t do anything to those two old people.”
Jagoan did not speak.
Quintavious furrowed his eyebrows tighter. Jagoan’s reaction was not what he expected. According to the information he had, Jagoan was supposed to be flying into a great rage and acting out of desperation.
Why was he so calm?
Could it be that he had it all wrong and that Jagoan was a coldblooded man?
After a while, Jagoan said. “What’s your name?
“Quintavious!”
He uttered his name proudly. He was renowned across the whole world and believed that Jagoan would certainly be panic-stricken upon hearing his name, begging for his forgiveness.
However, Jagoan’s remark next surpassed his expectations.
“I’ve never heard of you,” said Jagoan frankly.
All at once, Quintavious was infuriated. His reputation was known across the world, yet Jagoan actually claimed not to have heard of him?
In his perception, Jagoan was wildly conceited!
After all, how could Jagoan possibly not know about him now that he was already ranked one of the top powerhouses in the world?
“You!” Quintavious said coldly, “What a wildly conceited lad you are! I’ll find you and pop off your head!”
