Hydrakandy found it incredulous after receiving confirmation. Quintavious was not some ordinary invincibilis powerhouse. He was almost as powerful as a god.
Other than a small number of people, who else in this world could kill him? Even the so-called weapons from the common world could not possibly hurt him.
“Who did it?” Hydrakandy asked cautiously.
Osiris did not answer immediately. Instead, he took a sip of tea before he said nonchalantly, “It was Jagoan Larson.”
Hydrakandy was rendered speechless, her eyebrows twitching ferociously!
Was it really Jagoan?
Was he truly that formidable?
It did not make sense.
She looked into Jagoan before and found out that he was just an ordinary man born to a small family in the common world. Moreover, his family was small and weak, so how could they possibly cultivate a powerhouse like Jagoan?
Frankly, it was already a miracle for someone of Jagoan’s background to reach the invincibilis state.
She would never believe that Jagoan had the capability to beat Quintavious to death.
Still, the reality was right before her. She had no choice but to believe it because she knew that her father would never lie to her.
She felt even worse after learning about that and realizing that the Hydralerna’s husband was actually not an ordinary man but a genuine powerhouse.
She was no fool, so she could already tell that the reason her father would show up to her place personally was most probably related to Hydralerna.
“I think that Jagoan had most probably killed Quintavious by gathering a few invincibilis powerhouses with him to set down traps. Otherwise, he could not possibly be a match for Quintavious,” said Hydrakandy in a deep voice.
She refused to acknowledge that Jagoan had the capability to do so regardless.
Osiris did not comment but his eyes glistened. He placed down the cup of tea and said nonchalantly, “I heard that you visited Hydralerna’s place some time ago and mistreated her?”
There!
Hydrakandy felt her chest tighten upon hearing that. Even though her father spoke in a nonchalant tone, Hydrakandy could hear her father’s displeasure after spending so many years with him.
She was guilty, so she could not allow herself to lie to her father. “Yes. She’s back, so I was supposed to pay her a visit as her younger sister. Actually, Hydradiara visited her too and she did it more frequently than myself.”
She lowered her head upon saying that.
Osiris was silent for a while before he said, “Do you loathe Hydralerna?”
Hydrakandy clenched her teeth and said, “She’s the shame of our family. Could it be that I’m not allowed to hate her?”
She could feel an immense pressure abruptly upon saying that and it came from her father. She could not help feeling scared.
If this was the past, she would certainly bow down and beg for forgiveness when she realized that her father was angered.
Still, she refused to do that this time because she was not at fault. She loathed Hydralerna for that!
After a while, Osiris said, “Don’t make trouble with Hydralerna from now on.”
He stood up right away upon saying that It was apparent that he was leaving.
Hydrakandy could not refrain hers elf from blurring out, “I don’t understand this, Father! Why did you bring her home when you once claimed that she’s the shame of our family and told us not to be like her…”
All of a sudden, Osiris turned around and his nonchalant expression turned icy cold. “Are you denouncing your father?”
