Hydradiara wanted to comment further initially, but Osiris cast her a look before he left. It made her entire body tremble in fear, and she lost the courage to speak out.
She did not stay at Faye’s place much longer after that. She chatted with Faye briefly and came up with an excuse to leave soon.
After leaving Faye’s place, she found Osiris waiting for her at the gazebo just as expected.
“Father.”
She bowed at Osiris in a haste after she approached him.
“Hmm.” Osiris nodded and said nonchalantly, “You’re not allowed to speak out of place to Lerna from now on, understood?”
Upon hearing that, Hydradiara felt her heart racing instantly. At the same time, she was even more convinced that her father was deceiving her elder sister in order to lure in Jagoan!
She hesitated for a while before she said, “Father, I can see that sis was living quite a happy life in the common world. Is it necessary to bring her home by force?”
Osiris’ expression turned grim upon hearing that. “Are you trying to lecture me?”
Hydradiara hastily lowered her head and acknowledged her mistake. “I’m not, Father!”
Osiris’ expression relaxed slightly and his tone softened substantially. “Oh, Diara. You’re the daughter I’m most pleased with.”
“I have high hopes for you and I’ll send you to Shangri-la personally the next time it opens. The great aspiration that your senior Erik didn’t manage to fulfill is passed on to you.”
Hydradiara was panic-stricken at once upon hearing that. She said, “Father, how can I measure up to Erik?”
Osiris said nonchalantly, “How can you not? Your senior Erik was killed by Jagoan and his power was transferred to Jagoan. Otherwise, how do you think that Jagoan can advance so quickly?”
“I’ll subdue Jagoan when he’s here in Regicide Heofon and you’ll be assigned to end him personally and seize his power. By then, you will certainly attain greater achievements than Erik!”
All at once, Hydradiara was shocked. It appeared that her father was plotting against Jagoan!
Frankly, she felt rather surprised to hear that from her father, but yet it was well within her predictions.
She knew that her father would never let Jagoan off so easily, but it would be a crushing blow for her elder sister to witness Jagoan being ended in such a manner!
Frankly, she found that she could not bear to go through with it. She could not refrain herself from saying, “Father, isn’t it too cruel for us to do this to sis?”
Osiris let out a loud grunt. “Your petty kindness is useless! The blood of the Sones is coursing through your elder sister’s veins. How can Jagoan Larson from the common world be worthy of her?”
“Moreover, Jagoan killed so many elite fighters of our world and is already regarded as our greatest enemy. If I were to allow your elder sister to be with Jagoan, we would be going against the clubs’ world!”
“In addition, he killed your junior and senior! How can we justify their deaths if we don’t avenge them?”
At this point, Hydradiara knew that her father was determined to kill Jagoan.
Frankly, she did not have any feelings for Jagoan. In fact, she felt the urge to kill Jagoan when she found out that he had killed Javier and King Erik.
However, Jagoan was her elder sister’s husband regardless. Moreover, her eldest sister loved Jagoan dearly based on her observation. She could imagine how agonizing and hopeless her elder sister would be.
