Jagoan was dumbfounded upon hearing the voice!
“Hey, Jagoan. It’s me, Jagoan…”
Faye’s voice sounded so familiar yet so foreign.
It was familiar because Jagoan had been listening to the voice for many years.
It was foreign because it had already been a long time since Jagoan heard the voice. As the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. It felt like it had been forever since he saw Faye!
Frankly, he had never expected that he would be receiving a call from Faye.
It had far surpassed his expectations.
In fact, he was already prepared to kill his way into Regicide Heofon all by himself when the time was right. Even if imminent danger was waiting for him ahead, he would still rescue Faye from there!
However, Faye had actually called him in advance. At the same time he was astonished, he was pleasantly surprised and delighted!

There was an ineffable unreal feeling to hear Faye’s voice in the call now.
At last, Faye’s voice was heard coming from the other end of the call. She sounded like she was crying. “It’s me, Jagoan. It’s Jagoan. I missed you so much, Jagoan…”
Jagoan could not help feeling like crying upon hearing the voice.
He missed Faye so much. He let his walls come down when he heard Faye’s crying voice and her longing, loving tone. He could not refrain himself from tearing up.
However, he calmed down soon enough. He knew that there was certainly something more to why Faye was calling him now.
“I missed you so much too, Jagoan. I really, really miss you.” Jagoan expressed his longing then said, “Have you been well, Jagoan? Are you hurt?”
In truth, Jagoan’s heart was filled with anger and murderous intent when he said that. There was also a tinge of nerves because he was afraid that he would not hear good news from Faye.
If Faye was still in Regicide Heofon and lived in poor conditions or even bullied, he was afraid that he would not be able to hold back anymore and go running to Regicide Heofon!
However, he did not have the courage to express his emotions because he was uncertain if someone was monitoring Faye’s call, or someone was right next to Faye.
In reality, he was right. It was because there were other people next to Faye including Osiris.
He had a faint smile on his face and he appeared to be very kind and affectionate. However, there was icy coldness in his eyes that could not be concealed.
He made Faye call Jagoan on purpose.
Faye hastily shook her head upon hearing that and said, “It’s fine, it’s fine. I’m fine and I live rather well here.”
“Is that so? Great!”
Jagoan felt rather relieved to hear that. As long as Faye was not bullied, that would be great.
However, he was not fully relieved even if that was the case because he was well aware that he was bound by deep enmity to Regicide Heofon. He refused to believe that Osiris would let him off just because he was Osiris’s son-in-law.
