There was no suspense in the competition when the opponent was matched with Jagoan.
Jagoan spent five minutes defeating the opponent with great effort.
He had finally drawn some attention to himself after winning the second round of the match.
However, that was all there was to it.
The event was in full swing with numerous people taking part and multiple matches happening at the same time. The preliminary round was completed soon and it did not take long before the top 32 fighters were chosen.
Jagoan was one of them and the people had finally noticed him.
“Huh? How have I not heard of this person named Larson Carter before? He’s so capable that he made it to the top 32? He’s quite powerful!” ‘
“You’re right. Where did he come from? He’s at least half a step away from invincibilis state in order to make it to the top 32, right?”
“I have some recollection of Larson Carter being a genius from a small club. He usually keeps a low profile.”
“I didn’t expect that he’d come to take part in Regicide Heofon’s husband-choosing event. However, I’m quite surprised that he made it to the top 32.”
“It’s quite impressive that he can make it to the top 32. However, that’s as far as he can go.”
“The rest of the contestants are all renowned super powerhouses with quite a number of invincibilis fighters. Larson Carter is definitely no match for them.”
There was excitement and pride in Jagoan’s expression when he heard the discussion about him, but he was calm and composed inside.
Osiris had also casted his gaze upon Jagoan, but there was nothing unusual about it. Osiris was slightly astonished and looked at Jagoan in admiration. It was obvious that he did not recognize Jagoan nor see through his true capabilities.
Faye cast her gaze upon Jagoan ever so slightly upon hearing the discussion. However, it lasted for only a brief moment. Soon, she retracted her gaze and there was no radiance in her eyes. Jagoan could tell that she was in agony.
Jagoan heaved a sigh. He wanted to step forward and take Faye with him, but it was a waste that he could not allow himself to do so.
All in all, he was not powerful enough!
He took a deep breath to dispel all the distracting thoughts so he could remain focused at competing in the competition.
The champion would be chosen from the top 32 the next day.
Everything was well within Jagoan’s control. His first opponent was half a step away from the invincibilis state and rather powerful with rich combative experience.
Jagoan displayed his capability as an invincibilis fighter during this match and defeated the opponent thoroughly.
People gasped in astonishment after witnessing the match. It was apparent that they did not expect the inconspicuous Larson Carter to be as powerful as an invincibilis fighter!
It was unbelievable.
Someone smacked his head abruptly and said, “I suddenly remembered that Larson Carter seemed to have visited Shangri-la during the previous opening! That lad is so low-profile that so many of us have forgotten about that.”
“So it turns out that he’s an invincibilis fighter… The boy is quite brutal.”
Many people expressed their astonishment while Osiris was caught by surprise as well. He looked toward Jagoan once again. Moreover, he was sizing up Jagoan in all seriousness this time.

Faye heard the name for the first time as well and began muttering ‘Larson Carter’ to herself. She found the name to be familiar for some unknown reason.
