Jagoan could feel the agony and despair in her heart. He heaved a sigh and there were multiple occasions that he wanted to hug her tightly and tell her that he was Jagoan!
However, he refrained from doing so with great effort because he knew that if not, he and Faye would be doomed. As such, he could never allow himself to do that.
He suppressed the emotions that should not have been present and began to clink glasses with the crowd. He drank and pretended to be drunk and staggered his way into his nuptial bedroom when it was time.
Just as he was about to arrive at the room, someone suddenly showed up and blocked his path.
Jagoan felt his heart pound and his mind race when he saw who it was!
The person was none other than Osiris.
Osiris blocked his path and stared at him.
Jagoan’s mind was working at full speed thinking about why Osiris would block his path.
Could it be that Osiris had discovered his identity?
No, the possibility of that was low. If Osiris were to have discovered his identity, he should have already made a move instead of stopping him at that point.
“S-sir…”
Larson talked with a lisp as a drunkard would do.
Osiris stared, not noticing anything off with Jagoan. He nodded and said, “Larson, a have Lerna take this pill later.”
As he spoke, Osiris opened up his palm to reveal a red pill about the size of a pinky finger.
Jagoan was rather astonished and asked without showing any change of emotions, “Sir, what kind of pill is that?”
“It’s not of your concern. Just do as I said,” Osiris said nonchalantly.
Jagoan answered ‘oh’ before he took the pill from Osiris’ palm right away and staggered back to the room. There was no way to tell that Jagoan was already filled with murderous intent.
Someone showed up behind Osiris after Jagoan entered the room.
It was Elder Thor.
“Are you planning on doing it tonight, Osiris?”
“Lerna’s Rhea Physique has matured,” said Osiris nonchalantly. There was a tinge of ghastly franticness in his gaze.
After a while, Thor said, “Lerna’s going to die after her Rhea Physique is taken, isn’t she?”
Osiris did not answer immediately and waited for a while before he said, “This is her duty.”
Looking at Osiris, Thor shook his head. Still, he did not comment further and soon vanished.
Over at Jagoan’s side, he found Faye seated on the bed when he entered the room.
Faye looked so quiet, beautiful, feminine, and graceful that the sight of her was almost pitiful.
Jagoan felt his chest burn with passion upon seeing her.
He shut the door behind him and walked into the room slowly.
Faye’s body shook instantly upon hearing the sound of Jagoan entering. It was obvious that she was agitated.
At last, Jagoan made his way to her and took a seat opposite her. He looked at her affectionately and found her face was exquisite even when covered in tears and filled with agony.
Jagoan was shocked by the sight of her face.
He could not refrain himself from extending his hand in an attempt to wipe away Faye’s tears.
“Don’t touch me!” Faye was highly agitated.
